Stayed one night while visiting area. Very clean, beds are comfortable, free breakfast… what’s not to like? The nearby train wasn’t as big a deal as some have noted. Barely noticed it. Will stay here again!Noteworthy details: Restaurant next door, the 218 Tavern, has good food.

A nice newer hotel. A typical king room was well kept and maintained. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the local community. Between 9 and 10, everything went quiet. There was a nice commentary breakfast the next morning.

This is an amazing hotel and well worth what we paid. We stayed for a week in Baudette and the rooms were comfortable the pool was amazing and the staff were accommodating and even let us have a pool party. 5/5 great hotel!

I've been to several hotels in major cities this year, and this room was by far the cleanest one I've been in. They're a little short-staffed, it seems, but the workers are nice.Really good continental breakfast that rotates the hot entree each day.Indoor pool and hot tub + a sauna with a view. Well kept grounds. Housekeeping by request.

Will not be back, Blood stained pillow and a dirty towel not exactly how I wanted to end my long day of travelling. They also did not resolve the problem at checkout. I would like someone to reach out to me.

My wife and I just finished numerous days here for the 2nd time in a few years. We were here to visit family. I hesitate to do a less than stellar review for a business in this hometown of my wife but management needs to address some issues. I realize "Covid" will be the reason given for employee issues but to be honest many of us are tiring of this excuse. First thing. The hotel, while not a luxury hotel is the nicest in Baudette. Overall I give it a B. The location is very good as well. But.....I called back around Dec. 2022 to request a suite for my wife and I for the week coming into July 4 for 2023. I was told by the lady I had to wait until after Jan 1. Fair enough. I called maybe on Jan 2 give or take, can't recall exactly. In our previous stay we stayed in room 202 which is right above the office. This works well for us as I go to bed early and my wife stays up late and this is a two room suite with a door separating the two. I absolutely stated we'd like the same room although I could not recall the number. But I am 100% positive I said "suite directly above the office." The person on the phone said it was available and put us in there. I called back at least once or twice shortly thereafter making some slight modifications on the arrival/departure days. I again reiterated the exact room above the office. Fast forward to our arrival and we were checked in by a young lady who really acted as though she would not have minded if we did not come in. We got our keys and no matter of the lighthearted talk we would not get her to show a bit of emotion or friendliness. We went upstairs and were surprised we did not have the same room but we assumed they had more two room suites than we knew. Nope. This was a large room but all one room and well down the hall from above the office. We called downstairs and this same young lady basically told us we were out of luck as the room we wanted (and had requested more than once) was taken by someone coming in the next day and no other suites were available. We were trying to weigh our options and we knew we'd be trying to find a relative who could unexpectedly take us in. But when we went down to the desk this same girl told us she called the gentleman coming in and explained the situation and he said he had no issues with switching. I wanted to thank the man personally but we never figured out who he was. But this should have never happened. One other negative was the breakfast. While not a gourmet breakfast in the past it was certainly better than what we saw this week. Butter was seemingly rationed as were English Muffins. Muffins ran out when I went back down an hour before they closed to get one for my wife. Same with hard boiled eggs. The Biscuits served daily with the Sausage Gravy could substitute as hockey pucks. Every bit as dry. The sausage patties were served a couple days and each day they were burned and dried out. These were the worst of the issues. We did have some employees who we did enjoy meeting and talking with but Michelle was the only one where I thought to ask her name so we appreciate her. Would we stay here again? Not sure we would and for what we paid we should have seen better. BTW. Our room rate went up after we were moved from the 1st to the 2nd room. Something my wife really did not appreciate at all.

Overall I do like the hotel. Better than the old old Americinn. But the staff here can either be friendly or in a grouchy mood. I always try and engage them in light conversation but for the most part I had to stop. Walked to the lobby at 5am and some girl was asleep on the couch there with a blanket on her. Went back at 530 and she is still there. Waited a few minutes and no employee so I just left. No idea if this was an employee or not. I do want to point out to management. You have the water pressure in super environmental saver mode meaning my showers, shaving and every other need for water takes twice as long. So where is the savings? A good shower head will have me out in no time. As of now? Slow and steady we go until I get all soap and shampoo out.

Decent for a night or two. Pool was pretty gross and the hot tub was out of order.

We stayed here on a Tuesday and there was no place in town to eat supper. The hotel grills burgers and hotdogs on Tuesday nights so we had a nice dinner after thinking we would go to bed hungry! The room was spotless, quiet, DID NOT smell - no "hotel" smell. We had a nice view out the window. The only problem was super slow internet that kept bumping us off. But that was a problem everywhere north of Duluth. Pretty pricey, but the dinner was a nice addition and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The AmericInn at Baudette is one of the best my husband and I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, serene new decor, friendly helpful staff, and an attention to small details and quality that made it better than average. One we noticed immediately was how quietly the air conditioner ran; it made sleeping much more comfortable. Thanks to all this we had a great stay and would highly recommend it to anyone!
