Jim at the Baxter Home Depot found me in the plumbing aisle and volunteered his assist. He smiled and knew what I needed and where to find it. As I continued shopping, I heard Jim continue to volunteer his help to several other customers. He is pleasant and quiet and knows his stuff.I've worked construction for a couple decades. I've encountered dozens of Hone Depot employees. Jim is the best of the best.

No, thank you! This is the worst HD I have ever been to. I will have to say first that the nice lady at the entrance in the back was super nice as well as Dany? in the return section, The other employees were a complete disaster (and I am already sugar-coating it)I had returned a trailer and the returns employee kept telling me that he was not able to remove the trailer from my truck! The rental employee made me park in different spots and still could not help me until I was really getting upset which is when finally after almost one hour two additional employees came to the scene who never said a word to me but stared at the trailer instead. Now there were three employees of which one finally was able to get the trailer off my truck after I had to make myself very clear about the urgency (my husband was at the ER at that time but nobody seemed to care) I had also returned a mixing machine and was charged over $60 for not returning an extension cable which I never received when I picked up the machine! A+ for unprofessionalism par excellence!

I ordered a microwave to be installed. They came n just dropped it off and told me I had to notify the store and left. I already paid for installation and they wouldn't even call the store to check.

I have had positive experiences in the Baxter/Brainerd store in the past. I have even on occasion filled out the online survey giving this store a 5-star rating. That being said it only takes (1) bad apple to make an experience so horrible that tells me I will never step in that store again. I should have called for the store manager at the time. This was my second encounter with this same individual in 2 weeks, both times his lack of care to the customer in my opinion was inexcusable. I have zero tolerance for condescending inept incompetent people, especially in a customer service position. The only reason I give a 2-star rating is for my previous experiences in this store. This review is geared to one individual only. He should be in a position where he does not work directly with customers. Sorry Home Depot, looks like Menards will be my go-to from now on.

I did some searching on line for a confectioners stove, over- stove microwave, dishwasher and quartz kitchen countertops. ...maybe a washer and dryer. Home Depot looked like a one stop shop to go to. There was one person working in that department. She was helping another customer and there were two people ahead of me for her help. After an hour of waiting, she was with the first couple the entire time, yay for them!, no one came to help out, I left. So much for shopping in your community.

Just came back from there. I was told there was curbside pickup. When I got there I called and the phone never was picked up. Called again from my car and someone finally picked up. She told me there wasn't any curbside pickup after 6. She said she was the only one in the store working and I would have to come in. I went in and the store was full of people and workers. I met this gal who I talked to on the phone. There was another worker sitting right next to her. I gav

We loved the home Depot stores in coon Rapids ,all over the city's really, we moved to Brainerd and we have had nothing but bad experiences. From poor customer service, to not being able to fine a store representative too poor attitude of the people working at this Home Depot. On several occasions we spend $600+ and when we come in to pick up our products an example of flooring was ordered 24 hours in advance That was supposed to be loaded on a pallet and ready to go

Home Depot advertises in every store that if you buy an hot water heater before noon it can be installed the same day. That is NOT TRUE in most stores. I got up early to purchase an hot water heater at the Brainerd Home Depot where this promise is readily displayed and was only told that I would get a call from the installer within 48 hours to make an appointment for installation as soon as I could be put on the installers schedule. The installer is in Foley which is east of St Cloud and over an hour away. The store manager explained that the installers are never more than 30 miles away. Home Depot enjoys a large client base in Brainerd but apparently does not want to contract with local service or plumbing businesses to assure timely service. It's hard to tell your wife the explanations that the poor Home Depot employees (they are caught in the middle) gave me when all she wants to do is restore hot water in our Brainerd home in a reasonable timeframe. It is disingenuous to advertise a service you cannot perform in any store that is incapable of performing it......and the explanation is only "we can not control what advertising signs the corporation sends us to display. "

They generally have everything you need for a project; however, the customer service is something that needs a great deal of attention. It's either great or downright terrible. The people at the customer service desk in the front of the store are useless or rude. You guys are never too busy to not be more helpful. The people on the floor are good but like any customer I can't help but focus on the bad.
