Food was meh. Person taking our order expected a tip. I tip for service, not just taking an order. Had to pay for the chips and salsa? Ive Never been to a Mexican restaurant and had to pay extra for that.Margaritas were served out of a slushi machine. Paid over $50 for bland mediocre food and service.

Over priced American Mexican food! This is not authentic! It's also way way way over priced! Also the worst service ever! And if I pay for over priced food! I expect to get a set of silverware, not a plastic knife and fork! And not only that there closed on the best two days of the week! Open a cafe make that place useful

Food is awesome. Serving size is generous- my wife and I both left full after splitting a combo. Not a lot of decor to create an ambiance, but definitely worth a stop!

Stopped by while on road for work. Like many rural communities this is a small town that probably had its hey day sometime between WW1 and the depression and there is not a lot to choose from if you need to grab a sit down meal. But this small main drag has a decent old school butcher shop, a bar and seems to be a cattle center. So this Mexican restaurant is right in the middle and is pretty fresh and vibrant looking for the area. If cleanliness and pride of ownership is a plus for you, these people are top of the heap. While clearly an old building and space the place while basic is authentic decor with Mexican music that is never too loud, and southwestern mex vibe. The food was really good. For basic simple cuisine it is oddly easy to screw up or skimp on but this was amazingly fresh for ingredients. Nothing sitting around all day. The fajitas have generous portions and the veggies and steak were done just right. Even refried beans, which I typically leave and experience as brown paste other places, were dang good. For the prices it was the deal of century. I was curious as to their shrimp items but did not venture to see what they're using. I'm fine with frozen in this neck of the woods but I'd not want factory breaded stuff. Next time. Having eaten Mexican food for ages and in restaurants in Mexico as well, it's always a kick to find a place in the rural Midwest that is doing a better job than most. If you're in the area and you're looking for a decent real deal give this place a shot.
