What a wonderful place to find all sorts of locally made wool things! Lots of Minnesota gifts, regional blankets, yarn, books, soaps, gloves, hats, slippers, scarves, and more! Lovely and knowledgeable folks working there, they even gave me a tour of the back when I mentioned I was interested in wool working. Just a delightful spot we’ll be sure to visit on our next pass through Bemidji!

I found the perfect pair of locally made woolen mittens in this adorable shop. The owner was very helpful and friendly, he even gave us a tour of the workshop in the back. This is a “must see” in Bemidji.

Great place and what I am assuming is the owner brought us in back and showed us the machines. My two kids loved it was really great and bought some of there wool mittens which are great as well.

Thank you, Bill, for the exceptional experience you provided me on Friday, December 29. You helped me determine the provenance of my Voyageurs Jack Coat, even sharing with me the history of the person who brought it to life from simple fabric. The tour was wonderful, full of history, anecdotes of daily life at the mill, and camaraderie. I was astounded when you said you’d repair my jacket right there and then. Is this place still in operation? I have emailed them several times and tried calling to try and order something for a couple years now, but I have never heard back from anyone for years even though their website is still up but there are hardly any options for items to even buy online... I'd be afraid to try and place an order online as it might get stuck in Limbo! Anyone know ? I have two of their garments, the Paul Bunyan wool shirts (green/black and red/black) and want to order another!

This used to be one of our favorite stops every summer but times change. Very little product is from the woolen part, most seems to be made in China. Sad. They still have a few Pendleton blankets and other merchandise but sadly even some of that is made in China. We will cherish our memories of the "glory days" at this store, but time has marched on-to a different drummer it seems.
