My kids and I love going here to play basketball indoors, since we have winter 9months out of the year. They also have several other things to do within the facility. It's very clean, and nice staff!

Decent rock wall with a helpful staff. Their hour for the public are pretty limited though so call before you go.

Fun gym and lots of activities, but they lack air conditioning in the summer months in the main gym area and it can get extremely humid. Wished their pricing was a bit more affordable for community members.

There is no better gym in Bemidji!

The Gillett Wellness Center is a gym, of sorts, on the Bemidji State University campus. This center has a pool, yoga/dance room, free weight/CrossFit type room, weight machine room, extensive line of cardio machines, kettle bells and medicine balls, indoor track, tennis and racket ball courts, and a rock climbing wall. The facility is quite large and rarely feels crowded. Locker rooms, showers, bathrooms, and facilities are kept fairly clean, considering this is a college facility. There are several paid and free fitness classes to take at the center as well. Some caveats include - limited parking - if you aren't willing to shell out nearly $200 for a parking pass, you will need to use one of the ten or so parking meters - $0.25 per half hour. Alternatively, you can press your luck trying to find nearby street parking. Because it is a community oriented facility, there are often events hosted here, and school children are occasionally bussed in for field trips. The free weight options are extremely slim - a small selection of kettle bells and dumb bells, and some small curling bars with weight disks up to 15#'s if I remember correctly. For college students, this facility is free to use. If you are a day visitor, you will find yourself paying around $8 for a day pass, or $4 for just the pool. They due have memberships available, which I believe are fairly reasonable compared to gyms such as anytime fitness, but the day passes are exorbitant. I would definitely recommend this facility to any BSU students if you don't want to waste money for another gym. I would also recommend this facility if you are seeking unique amenities namely the ,courts, rock wall, and pool. If you are just seeking a good gym for cardio and weightlifting, you are better off with anytime fitness, if the price isn't an issue.

Extremely over priced for low quality and quantity gym equipment. No stair climber, no battle ropes, no push sled and no mats. If you're looking for a place to lift weights and use cardio equipment, this is not the place. The equipment is out dated, dirty and broken. There are no ab mats and it is expected that you do abs on dirty tumble mats. Even the yoga mats are filthy. This gym would only be useful if you want to run around a track, play tenis or basketball. Using it as a gym is a horrible idea.
