“Clean place with a nice pool area for kids and adults alike. The gym was also sufficient for getting a quick workout in. The continental breakfast is also pretty great!I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the disrespectful staff I experienced at checkin. I was in the middle of. Checking in when a guy who acted like the manager interrupted the gentleman who was helping me to ask if he could work the following day. He then interrupted a second time and tried to charge me a pet fee. If I hadn't reassured him that I had prepaid that fee...I would have been charged again.”

“We stayed at Rutgers for a hockey tournament. Carrie and all the staff were so helpful. The conference room space was perfect for our large group and the buffets we catered in were delicious. The main lobby area was wonderful for hanging out. Oh, and they hotel dogs were adorable and incredibly friendly for all ages. I would highly recommend staying at Ruttgers.”

“If you're staying here for a night you can't beat it for the price. However, my boyfriend and I stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and there were a few things that became inconvenient over time. We were in a room in an site 2 parking lots away from the main building. Breakfast, ice, vending, etc. are all in the main building. There was a door to get into the side of this building (which would be the closest to our building) but the lock that should have accepted our pass key was broken. That resulted in us walking around to the front of the building to get to the breakfast lounge which is practically right by the broken side door lol. These seem quite minor as far as inconveniences go, I'm just speaking from a place of limited mobility. We didn't think to ask whether or not the hotel is all one big unit when reserving the room, but we weren't asked if we needed to be closer to amenities either. I don't want to come down too hard on them for this, it's a common thing that gets overlooked. I'm not upset, and I will most likely stay here again in the future because we were otherwise quite pleased. I would merely suggest having your concierges start asking whether or not guests have mobility issues.”

“Sat am pool closed indefinitely. Disappointing.Rooms: Lighting was very poor. Noisy room next to interstate . Expected better experience because of brand name. Can't recommend highly.Food & drinks: Breakfast. Hot food was gone by 8:30 Fri morning. Second morning on weekend with longer hours had waffles but no syrup the last hour . One family with children had to go pick up breakfast on the way to their child's game because hot food was gone. They were told "there's cereal" when questioned if more food would be coming.Felt sorry for staff who was manning front desk as people checked out, doing laundry, and staffing the breakfast area”

“Rooms/beds were clean and comfortable which is a top priority for me. It’s a 2 star hotel so you can’t expect luxury. It’s a good deal. The building is dated but the rooms appeared newly renovated. I never in my life thought I would see a coffee maker beside a toilet, don’t recommend that. Breakfast was very small and basic. Service was not strong.”
