The Bemidji Postmaster needs to properly supervise the front end staff and rural route carriers. I ordered a package through Amazon.
As most people in the world realize, Amazon decides the carrier NOT the customer.
I was informed my package of two outdoor chairs could not be delivered. I inquired with the USPS 800 number. It was promised to be delivered two days later.
I was suspicious and drove 30 minutes to the Bemidji post office. The female clerk stated she had the two boxes.
After showing my driver's license twice, she advised the chairs would have been returned. After asking why she advised the carrier could not deliver because there was no mailbox along the rural highway a quarter mile from my cabin. I asked if the boxes would have been placed along the road for all to take for free...and that the two 3' X 3' boxes would not fit in ANY mailbox. She then asked if I wanted my items or not why she had them behind the counter. I explained I paid for them ans yes. She decided not to hold items as hostage when I asked to speak with her postmaster.
I finally was given my two chairs after she asked if I worked for Amazon and explained they decide how to ship, not me.
Apparently the lack of intelligent, efficient and effective employees is more prevalent in the U.S.P.S. than I ever imagined...

For two days in a row now I have gotten a notification from the informed delivery service provided by the USPS that I have incoming mail and my box has been empty both days. We need something better in this town . If you're going to send pictures of what mail I have coming through the informed delivery service you provide them I expect that mail to be delivered as promptly as possible especially with it being tax season and whatnot.

Well, for the second time in 2 weeks, 2 different neighbors have brought my mail and package to me. It was put in their box. Bemidji Post Office DOESN'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE!

Terrible route drivers and nobody on staff knows what they are doing in the office and there is nobody I can even contact and have wasted so much time. Waste of a pto day off to sign for things I didn’t get. This has happened every time I have used usps since Covid. Unreal should get zero stars.

They mark packages as delivered and send them out days later. Waiting on important tools to get certain jobs done is this town is impossible. Might as well plan everything a week out. Or at least offer better customer service when you try to pick it up yourself. Always someone with a poor attitude at those front desks.

If you have an important package you're expecting to be delivered on time, don't get your hopes up with Bemidji USPS. I understand it's the holidays coming up and many people are ordering gifts and such, but don't tell me my package is out for delivery if you have no intentions of delivering it despite the fact that it had been in Bemidji USPS for over a day and had even gotten to town early according to the package tracker.

There's always only one person (2 at most and this is not common) ringing up customers. With a long line you'd think you could hire someone or put them up front to at least help. There's one grey haired lady who could use an attitude adjustment as well.

A recent Amazon delivery was not delivered/needed redelivery due to it being a 'large item'. I was home and available and neither saw or heard a delivery car outside. This was a VERY important, time sensitive order and when I called the Bemidji PO directly 2 times (at different times the next day), the phone rang 16 times and then hung up. Why have a listed phone number if there's no intention to answer it. REALLY POOR!

I have found the employees hard working and as efficient as possible with the resources USPS lets them have. From my dedicated rural postal carrier to my employer's postal carrier in town who could be the poster model for true dedication to his job-they are getting the job done daily as best as they can. Thank you to all of you for getting the mail out because if we were all honest with ourselves, we would not want or be able to do what you do everyday!

They need to have a drop box area for bigger sized packages. I run an eBay store and am sick and tired of showing up here and having to wait in line when my packages are already labeled and paid for, and unless it’s a small bubble mailer, it’ll never fit in their tiny little deposit box, so I end up having to just dump my packages in front of the mail drop off spot hoping that nobody steals them. They don’t even have any lobby hours posted, so it’s not like I can just make a note and come when they are supposed to be open.

The ladies working seem to get rude and crabby towards the end of the day it may get busy but it's still your job I couldn't even get a piece of tape so I could send my package. She tried to get me to get something else with tape straps on it. It can't be that hard for a single peice of tape and her attitude was just horrible the way she looked at me like no I can't help you whose next? I guess I'll just have to go in the mornings from now on
