Ambush Park

Ambush Park is a nice, quiet park located right on the scenic Chippewa River. It is a great place to spend time with family, offering a well-kept tar trail for walking and biking, though the trail can flood in the spring. The trail is fully paved and has benches, a butterfly garden, and infographic postings. There are off-shooting grass trails that often have longer grass. The park features a playground set for small kids, a free mini golf course that is fun for small groups but looks in disrepair, and a small boat landing into the river. Facilities include tent camping and camper/RV sites with electrical and sewer hook-ups; campsites are well kept, popular, and often full. There are picnic areas and shelters, both medium and large, that can be reserved for family events or hold various events, along with a covered picnic area and a large fire pit. Other amenities include horseshoe pits and a basketball court, though these are also noted as being in disrepair. Its great location is within walking distance of a water park, golf course, and other local attractions, with active train tracks across the road.
