I was chosen as a hair dye test subject and had so much fun getting my hair colored by the friendly, talented stylists at Aveda. I thought it was fascinating that the chemists designing the Aveda hair dye products came to inspect my hair to decide whether any changes to the dye design needed to be made.

Been a customer of Aveda for a long time, under a few different accounts, and in multiple states, both in Salons and with product. Always thought good things about Aveda and thought them very service oriented. Recently though, one purchase is changing my attitude towards them. I placed a $170 order. The shipper was LaserShip, which has a reputation for being horrible. Needless to say, I never received the order. LaserShip's tracking actually had a picture of the house that received my package and it wasn’t mine. I tried working through LaserShip, but got nowhere. I eventually chatted with someone at Aveda who said they’d have my order reshipped. Over a week goes by and I heard nothing about a new delivery. I checked my account as well. I then wrote to their customer service. A couple weeks go by. Never heard back. I wrote again. Another couple weeks go by. Never heard back. I started working through my Credit card company to fight the charges. My credit card company gave me temporary credit while they work with Aveda. That’s where it currently stands. Surprised that it came to that with a company like Aveda. A month and a half later, still have yet to hear from Aveda. Not even a simple apology. Not only did I not get the product I ordered, all items were on sale with 20% off and I’ve lost the sale pricing. If I do purchase again, I’ll pay more for less. The whole experience has left me a bit bitter towards Aveda and it's made me rethink about the products that I think I need. Maybe I don't. Foolish companies everywhere are getting in bed with LaserShip. They think they're reducing ship expense. I think they're destroying relationships. And it's most likely short-term undercutting. Let me decide who I want to use for shipping and whether I want to pay extra for it. I realize I could possibly pay for expedited delivery and it very well may not be LaserShip, but that's not clear.

I had a fabulous experience at the Aveda Store today. I will say I've been intimidated by the campus and have been putting off visiting. However, one benefit of this retail shop being on the Aveda Blaine campus is that there is plenty of parking! Plus the shop is right to the right of the entrance doors - easy find and easy access.I visited in person today because I felt overwhelmed when browsing products online. The associate I worked with (Suzanne?) was incredibly helpful in narrowing down my search. I was even able to show her pictures of my hair freshly washed (... versus how I walked in today lol) and she tested the buoyancy of my hair as well - really above and beyond service.I'm really confident in my selection of products I purchased today, thanks to her help! She also helped me select a few products to sample. I know I'll be back.Since it was my first purchase in store I received 15% off. I also signed up for the rewards program, which was a $10 one time fee. However, with todays purchase I already have enough points to redeem for a product worth more than $10.{3}

Placed an order on 11/26 and for the past week states In Warehouse. Called customer service who said that that they can try and contact the warehouse to see if the order can get shipped out but cannot guarantee when it will ship. They would not cancel the order so I can pickup elsewhere, or send it overnight or 2 day shipping. I have been a Pure Privilege member for years and there was no helpfulness by customer service to try and get my order to me. I understand that this time of year is a little busier however over two weeks to ship out an order is unacceptable. Also I have placed many other orders from other companies at the same time as my Aveda purchase and have received them days ago.

Wanted to pick up a gift set that I saw online. Unfortunately, the day I went to the store, I found it was out of stock at the Aveda retail location in Blaine. Thankfully the individual items were in stock. I asked an associate if we could piece it together and was told yes, but I would have to pay full price for each item since the gift sets are specially packaged. I asked if there was anyway the package pricing could be applied and was told no, but if you just come back next week we'll probably have it. Due to when the gift was needed, I opted to pay full price but found the lack of customer service disappointing.

Trying to unload quickly and waiting… told to go to this 2nd building. Waiting for 3 items. Then I have to go back to the 1st building and unload. My trailer is practically empty… should be faster than this!

It's in the Research institute and they hired me as a model. They are hiring girls with curls and kinky hair and everytime its a great experience and ive made at least 700 00 no haircut, no color just love to the curls If you apply tell them Madelinekarita sent you.

Delivering here is a nightmare! 3 pallets with a total of 9 drums took these geniuses 30 minutes! They took turns looking out the door and laughing at the line of trucks waiting.

Aveda has closed my account with only a few points to the max tier level. I called customer service and shared my previous purchases that-mysteriously--no points were accumulated. Still no follow up and still no account restored to previous status. Was told my account was closed due to inactivity--however--I had made a few purchases. BAD BUSINESS--especially since I'd been collecting points for almost 2 decades.
