The manager at this location is so unlikable, seems annoyed about helping when you are a customer, and most of all so uneducated in what he carries, and how to use what they sell. I wouldn't recommend this location, especially buying anything living. (You'll be let down, I assure you.) The workers seem nice, but my guess is that they loathe working under this manager.

I had a great experience! A worker named Jordan helped us with the animals and told us about them. The worker, Jordan definitely deserves a raise, best worker I have met there!

Fridley Optical are bad at posting their hours. Website and on their front door says "Open" but they aren't even open for business. Very frustrating!

Kelley Shelly Amanda this whole crew and location is so fantastic with our dogs and especially my little guy Tito that only has 1 eye and needs a team he can trust that shows him so much love and care over the years. We have moved and still go only here. Thanks All!

Quite frustrated with this place. Let’s start with the fact I booked a grooming appointment just for it to be canceled with no warning or phone call TWO HOURS before the appointment. Then I try and make a new one but it won’t let me online. It keeps telling me “Walk-ins are welcome” which is a HUGE lie. I bring my dog in and I’m greeted with an almost hostile “I won’t have the time today”. The other groomer was able to help me but I was then told I need to have the paper copy of his rabies vaccination which is stated NOWHERE on their app, or website or even when I first booked the appointment. They won’t take my vets virtual copy, or the fact he is wearing his rabies tag. I’m then told they will “unlock my account” so I can rebook online. It has been hours of me trying yet again but I’m just told “Call or Walk-ins welcome” I’ll take my business elsewhere as this has just been a waste of three days trying to make a simple hour appointment.

My experience is that the groomer took a half look at the rabies paperwork for our rescue and said "nor good enough paperwork" and canceled the appointment. All because the rescue had a different name than the one we'd given him. I had our vet records to confirm the age, address, breed, coloration, and age were the same as the rescue but still declined. People change their dogs name after rescuing all the time. The groomer (Sherry) had no logic about it. He needs a grooming so badly, and her flippant attitude was disappointing. Never going back for grooming or supplies.

A lot of good products, however the complete lack of proper care for the animals really brings this store down.
Maybe stick with your strengths and not sell animals. It’s 2024, there’s no excuse to continue with improper setups/care.
This is just one example I saw in the store… ball pythons housed together, aspen bedding which doesn’t hold humidity at all, snakes unable to shed properly and dehydrated due to lack of humidity… just sad and disappointing.

It was a good place until today!
I brought my dog there for a nail cut and the groomer said she can’t finish because my dog swiped her face but I was watching the whole time from the outside and I really didn’t see he did that. He was not sitting well and he pulled his legs and moved so I agree he was not cooperative but I was so disappointed that she can’t be patient with dogs like that if she is professional…
I’d been bringing him here for years and he was fine and he did not have any problems until now…Now he’s traumatized because she was really forceful… I miss the previous groomer there.
The rest of the staff are awesome and I appreciate their warm friendliness and professionalism. I’m just disappointed in the grooming staff.
