I’ve rented a storage unit from Acorn Mini Storage in Bloomington for about 4 years and highly recommend. It’s a fairly new facility, about 5 years old. The place is kept clean and looking nice inside and out. It’s climate controlled, gated and I feel safe when I’m there. People I’ve run into are friendly and the management has been exceptional. Eleasha is either available or quick to respond and has been very friendly and helpful whenever I’ve had questions. I feel they are competitively priced with similar facilities. It comes down to the the customer service that truly makes this place top notch. I no longer need a storage unit but I wouldn’t hesitate to use Acorn again.

High prices. Poorly managed. Not climate controlled. One evening, I entered the facility near closing time. When I tried to leave, shortly after 10pm, the exit gate would not open. A sign at the exit offers the use of a call button to reach someone to assist however no one responded. I was forced to leave my vehicle overnight and return in the morning to retrieve it. When an employee was finally available later that day i communicated my frustration, and was told that I should have been able to exit. The employee investigated and said the issue was fixed. Some time later I found myself at the facility a little past 10pm again, and dealt with the same issue.. again. It is not uncommon for customers to underestimate the time necessary to complete a task at their storage. As long as a customer enters before closing time, and leaves within a reasonable time of closing, exiting should never be a problem. This issue was a direct result of incompetent management failing to properly set gate access times. I am now at public storage for close to half the price with the added amenity of climate control. I'll never use acorn again.

After being an Army wife and using storage units for 35 years, I can say that Eleasha Genz is the best manager I have ever come across. Knowledgeable, kind, very personable and easy to work with. If you are shopping around and have never used Acorn, call her for information. Great service with a smile!!

This review is overdue. I had a unit for 3 years here and I am so glad I came here. Elisha was so helpful and willing to take the time and go that extra mile. She made it not so depressing when I had to come to my storage. She is so awesome and I will miss her. Acorn is lucky to have her there!

After looking on the web at the plethora of storage companies in Bloomington, Minnesota, I found Acorn Mini Storage. I had questions that I couldn’t find answers for online, so I called their local number. Eleasha Genz answered the telephone and patiently answered all my questions, and I completed my rental online!The next day my girlfriend and I showed up with 2 cars full of boxes to store in one of their climate-controlled storage lockers. Eleasha told us how to gain secure access, walked us through the facility and showed us how to use the lock. Soon after we were unpacked and on our way home. They also have cameras everywhere, so we felt safe too.I chose Acorn Mini Storage for the following reasons:Customer ServiceThey support The Diaper Bank of Minnesota!The price was less than their competitor and my locker was twice as big.They don’t charge for the use of their locks.Their one-time administration fee is less than their competitor.The enclosed drive-in bay is marvelous, especially in Minnesota where the weather changes every 5 minutes.Thank you, Eleasha, for all your help!

If only I could give ZERO/NEGATIVE stars for customer service! Yesterday I went there in the morning with my truck loaded of things to put in storage, the sign says open but the door was locked. Unfortunately I did not have my phone on me, so I had to drive back home to call, and Jim said that he was there and would be until closing at 6 pm, but no explanation as to why the front door is locked during business hours. I registered and paid online, went back in the evening, Jim said I did not pay but I had email confirmation, and I was given my code that only worked for the outside gate but not the door to access the storage unit. Jim let me in manually from the inside, later left me a voicemail again that I needed to pay, but when I called back he said that he got it taken care as well as the code issue. Today I went back around 4:45 pm, my code did not work for the inside storage door, nobody is there, the sign says open but the door is locked. I had to call customer service to contact the manager, Eleasha Genz, who claims to have gone to the bank and would be back. We waited until 5:30 pm but did not see anyone. As we left we still called but there was no answer, which I would think is safe to assume nobody went back there. 5:58 pm I received an email from Eleasha apologizing and that my code issue should be fixed.My issues are:1. Why is the door locked during business hours?2. Why does the sign say open when the door is locked and there is no employee in attendance?3. Why is the only employee who is physically there unable to assist with code issues?4. Why is the manager leaving during business hours with the sign saying open but the door locked?5. I just paid for my little storage yesterday, 2/7/22, and I am already being charged additionally due 2/28/22.6. The employee and manager keeps saying that I SHOULD be good to go but are not able to give me definite confirmation. I would not be surprised if I go there again with my truck loaded for the third time tomorrow and no one is there during business hours and my code does not work.I am very unsatisfied, this is very inconvenient, and I have a message in to file a complaint with the corporate office.

On-site management is the BEST! We feel so welcome and safe here. They are always ready to answer questions and make sure we are good to go.

Excellent experience with manager Eleasha who really takes care of the place, and is super nice/thoughtful. I ended up getting a unit for both my business and my home. Secure, clean facility, good cameras, great customer service.

I have used a few different facilities for storage now and this was by far my best experience. The storage units were clean, the setup of payment and processes were super easy, and the people who work there were all so nice and accommodating. If I need to rent a storage unit again, I would definitely use them again. Thank you Acorn storage of Bloomington!
