I came in yesterday, just to browse and kill time. The employee that was stationed in the front entryway noticed that I was coming into the store but turned her head away so she could avoid greeting me and welcoming me into the store; but continued to greet a family behind me. Nobody else in the store greeted/welcomed me or asked if I needed help with anything. Seems very unprofessional to purposefully ignore people with a light brown complexion who are coming into your store to buy your products; just to not be treated as equally as other people.

This is the Bath & Body Works located on the first level of The Mall of America. The store seemed clean and well organized as it was easy to move around and locate products. There was good signage and it was well lit. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist customers, if needed. It seemed well stocked too and I did not see any signs of certain products running low. Checkout was quick and easy too.
I deducted a star because several of the sample areas seemed to be missing or out of certain samples we wanted to try. It would have been nice if those were in place but other than that everything was good. Overall, a good store.

My sister stopped by the store with her friend and our niece today. While checking out, an associate accused my niece of going behind the cash wrap and stealing a pair of sunglasses. Firstly, my niece is 6 years old, and should not be being addressed by an adult in that manner. Secondly, the sunglasses belonged to her. I bought them for her last week because she wanted a pair of sunglasses that looked like mine. Instead of apologizing and making attempts to rectify the situation, the associate continued to be ignorant and combative, and maintained her accusatory attitude. My niece has no reason to steal. She gets whatever she wants, and I don’t understand why anyone would find it implausible that she owns sunglasses. I spoke with an assistant manager by the name of Cali or Kaylie, and she was of no assistance. She stated that she was not there, but heard that the associate asked her where she got them from; assuming that they were glasses that she (Cali/Kaylie) had left behind the register. This proves that she was in the wrong and that she did, in fact, accuse my 6 year old niece of stealing them from behind the cash wrap; no matter how she tried to spin the narrative. I asked Cali/Kaylie for the name of the associate, as I will be reporting her and the incident to the store manager, and she explained that she was unable to give that information due to safety reasons; even if I were her friend calling and asking. I’d also note that a friend of mine works there, and I had asked if she did assuming that she was in a management position prior to asking for this associate’s name, so I know that that statement is false. I also worked in retail many years, and know that basic information, such as a first name, which is on her name tag, is perfectly okay to share under the circumstances. The only reason I could think of that it wasn’t given is due to micro aggressive behavior, as she maintained emphasis on “safety” and “stalking.” Cali/Kaylie has very poor solution orientation, and seriously lacks empathy, and should not be in her position, and the employee who accused my niece of stealing does not to be employed at all. Cali/Kaylie stated that I’d be receiving a call back from the store manager, so hopefully that’s true and a resolution can be reached, because this entire interaction was inappropriate and extremely distasteful.

I went here today to shop the semi annual sale. I was wanting BOTH body wash and lotion of the same scent (2 different scents). They only had the lotion. I really love the scent so I asked the lady at the cash register to call the other store inside the mall and she actually did! Which was nice of her, that is one thing you are supposed to do in a customer service job! Unfortunately the other store did not have any and so she helped me with the app to see if there was any on there and it said no unfortunately. I really love bath and body works. You have a loyal customer here!

Abu and his team at the 1st floor location were great. They were so helpful and friendly, and they made our visit a great experience. They were all working hard and took great pride in what they do. It made all the difference and we both walked out buying big bags of products! Thanks!
