Friendly staff,clean rooms,breakfast choices were good, and the pool area is great. It has a kid area, a pool and a large hot tub. Very close to the mall.

I had a fantastic stay at the Best Western in Bloomington, MN. Ms. Shannon at the front desk demonstrated exceptional customer service skills even during the busy period. She made me feel welcome despite my initial reservations from reviews. This place is truly excellent. The pool was bustling with families having a great time. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return as long as Miss Shannon is there!

The absolute worst customer service we have ever experienced. We were planning to stay 2 nights with our family visiting the Mall of America ahead of flying out of MSP and utilizing the park and fly. Night one was good other than the hotel is a bit dated. While in our room 2246 getting ready to go out to dinner on night 2, a MOUSE came out from under one of the queen beds in our room and ran around before returning under the bed platform. We immediately called the front desk explaining our issue and unfortunately they did not seem very excited or concerned about the issue. They did offer for us to switch rooms, but we would have to move all of our luggage to the front desk first, then be relocated to a different room. We asked for them to bring keys to the different room to us to move our luggage, then we would go to the front desk to fill out their paperwork. They agreed to bring keys to us, but after 20 mins of them not bringing us the keys we went to the front desk. When talking to the lead manager exclaiming that we had a rodent in our room and it was unacceptable and we would not be paying for our stay he exclaimed to us "you will be paying for your stay, there is no reason for us to compensate you, we offered you another room". We disputed it was not ethical for us to pay for accomodations with a rodent in the room. He stated "there was no way that I could prove there was a rodent in our room" and he was unwilling to accomodate us whatsoever. We offered to bring him to the room and show him the mouse living under the bed platform, but his response was "there will be no need". Ultimately, he gave us the option of moving to a different room and paying full price for both nights or leaving the property. When we stated that we would not pay full price since there was a rodent in our room he threatened to call security if we did not leave the hotel immediately. We left the hotel and took our business to Marriott while paying full price for a room we did not stay in at the Best Western. Very disappointed in the lack of ethics and customer service at this hotel. We will be filing a report with corporate.

They took all of my money on my card and ruined my sons birthday party . I never even ended up going I cancelled days and days before and they still took everything on my card.Safety: Terrible

When I stayed here they double billed sundry items, took extra payments on the credit card and absolutely refused to fix the issue. filed a complaint with the BBB and the hotel refused to respond to them, has to file a complaint with my credit card company.BBB recommended filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General for fraud in MNNEVER EVER use the sundry room at this hotel or they will bill and take money from your credit card at will and not refund you.

Everything was good , hallway carpet needed updating. I will not take any stars away as that is normal wear and tear on a carpet. Which is expected in the hotel business.

Awful experience! Like others have stated in reviews, there are unwritten rules that were not on the website or in the reservation. The reservation allowed for 6 guests yet only 4 swimming passes maximum given per room. The front desk staff were horrible and not willing to be helpful at all. There were people in the pool with no passes/wristbands at all. Such a waste of money! Do not book here!

**************Update*********************This hotel is under new management so they are telling guests and it is poorly ran.I made my reservation 2 months ago and they failed to tell me about the newly implemented change's.I called the hotel on several occasions prior to arrival to receive confirmation on early check in and to my dismay it was recanted once I arrived in person.Not only was I told that I couldn't have a gathering they requested I put extra money down.I have utilized this hotel on more than one occasion and I never been asked to pay for an extra room basically as a deposit !If this is how they are starting off the new year then they won't be as prosperous because a lot of families utilize this hotel for the pool and small parties.I will no longer need to utilize a space that's not conducive to my needsBest Western your hotel is a 3 ✨ hotel with 5 ✨ rules... Embassy Suites is truly considered a higher leveled establishment and I just had gathering of 40 with no extra hidden charges or restrictions.Word of advice for the people in management "Communication is key"...Let consumers know in advance before wasting people's time and money !!!**†***†***********************************I checked in here on the 5th and was originally supposed to stay to the 7th... I'm giving them five stars because of the excellent customer service but as far as the area and what happened to me if I could give a zero I would?I ended up checking up out early because someone slashed my tires on the 6th?Not only do they not have cameras but there is no way of finding out who did this to my vehicle.I'm kind of disappointed because they had excellent customer service and the hotel was well kept but you would think that being in a suburban area they would have a better surveillance system in place.?It just goes to show it doesn't matter how much you pay, no matter where you go, it will always be crime???Safety: Parking lot could be updated andCameras could be added for customers protectionNoteworthy details: Newly implemented incidental charges,Only 4 bands per room policy and fee for any other band's needed

Wonderful location and facilities. Pool was crowded but big enough to handle the crowds on Christmas vacation. Front desk staff vey helpful. Breakfast area clean and good assortment of choice with eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries. Will return soon.Nearby activities: Shopping. Rides. Food. Legos.Walkability: Easy walk to Mall of America. Best entertainment value in the Midwest.Food & drinks: Good full breakfast!

Terrible service! Do not stay here! We came for the pool and paid extra for a pool room. They told me after checkin that the pool was being serviced and would be fixed by noon. The pool was broken all day. My child and wife waited all day. We asked for a refund and the manager said he’d only give us 30 dollars on almost 200 for the room. We wasted all day waiting! And then the pool was not even heated or ready. No refund. They wasted our entire day!

I was coming into town with my family for a trip to mall of america. This hotel has a great location, which is right across the street. The pictures and pool looked great n the website because we have small children. We arrived on a wednesday, check in is at 4:00pm, we arrived around 4:15 at which that point the line to check in was wrapped around the lobby with 3 staff members checking in guests. There was roughly 15-20 people in front of me, I anticipated wainting 15 minutes or so. I was very wrong, I waited 45 minutes to get checked in. Never in my life have I waited that long to check into a hotel room. The pool was okay but they barely had any lights in the place and was very dark, and no pool towels. Another great plus was the free breakfast, to say it was disappointing is an understatement. The line to get a waffle was an hour long, and the "buffet" was breakfast potatoes, powdered eggs and fake sausage links. I would never go back there.

I'd give this place a 0 stars if I could, super unprofessional staff. Unwritten rules that come out after the room was booked. Was gonna have a 3 year old birthday party, but got told ONLY 6 extra guest were allowed IF they paid $25 each for a wristband and they weren't allowed in the pool side room that was already paid and reserved or it would be a fine. And a fine would come if any cake frosting, or balloons/decorations were found. So canceled the birthday party and as we were in the pool area, there were well over 3 other birthday parties with no one wearing wrist bands coming in and out of the pool going into poolside rooms. They all had decorations up and hanging with cake sitting out. This place is just money hungry and looking to nickle and dime everyone for what they got. Sad to take advantage of families looking to enjoy a night. Wouldn't recommend anyone here.
