I last shopped here, maybe 2015? I'm sure its fine or whatever, but here's my story:
So one day this lady goes into Goodwill and evidently sets her phone down, walks away, and someone steals it. Dang, BUMMER!
Anyway, she shows up at my house and asks if I have it because her Google Find My Phone says it's in my yard. I go look, don't find anything, and ask her to provide a picture of the "map" because maybe it's a big circle or if for some reason it is in my yard I can go to the specific spot.
Fast forward a week and the Bloomington police department, in specific Detective Sarri, comes to my door asking about this phone. Now I understand he's just doing his due diligence at this point for a report, so I talk to him. He mentions he's going to pull the security footage from Goodwill. "Great!" I say! That sounds like something a detective should probably do. He asked if he would see my face on the film. I said, "Nope, I haven't been there since maybe 2015." He said "that's hard to believe since they have such good deals." ??? (I'm giving this review three stars on his behalf, because if a detective says you have good deals, that's gotta be good.)
Then he said he likes to give people chances, people being me in this case, to just come clean. I said to pull the tapes. He said the next steps would likely be a search warrant. I said "the next steps are you walking back to your car."
I never heard back.
Anyway, don't leave your personal items unattended at Goodwill? It's just not fun for anyone.

Employee older African American man working cash register was slow and kept letting people behind me ring them up before me.

Customer service sucks at this location it’s hard enough finding an employee for help. There line indication on where it started didn’t help but not only one cashier looked at us but two of them looked at us knew we weren’t in the right spot and waited to say something. It is literally your job to help direct people in the store no need to be rude with people because your customer service sucks. So I kindly put my stuff down and left last time I will ever go to bloomington goodwill you don’t have this problem in St. Louis Park GoodWill

This is so sad. One of my favorite places to shop has always been Goodwill stores. But, that has recently changed. The prices are ridiculous. When a store gets free merchandise and charges just as much as retail stores, you know we're down bad. Smh won't be returning.

Half the store is full of clothes that we have to buy because we can’t afford new clothes.
Try them on in a dressing room? NOPE That’s for rich folk.
Why did they remove dressing rooms?
Too many desperate people were stealing their donated clothes. The COGS (Cost of food sold), for goodwill for these clothes? The minimum wage labor and a price tag.
THAT’S NOT THE WORST PART:
No refunds.
Exchanges only for that same trip.
(You find some pants, take them home. You have two weeks to exchange them?)
But when you DO exchange them, you get store credit ON THAT VISIT.
Never again. I shall not buy clothes I cannot try on.

Store was very clean and neat. That's why they got a 3. Ridiculously priced. Many, many tops in women's clothing buying new is cheaper.

I needed shorts. That is all. Barely found 4 pair that I liked.
NO DRESSING ROOMS! Kept one pair tried to return 3 the next day. NOPE! No refund with receipt and NO in store credit!
I was told to find $25 of something else in the store to offset the 3 pairs of shorts.
I DID NOT NEED ANYTHING ELSE! Basically, I was charged $25 for trying on shorts at home because the DRESSING ROOMS ARE CLOSED!! I bought $25 of ice cream sandwiches and will never go there again! The staff was nice = 1 star.

i have been an avid thrift store shopper for most of my life tbh. i love the experience, the deals, the cute and quirky things you could never find brand new. but OMG the prices are ridiculous now. i completely understand what year we are in and how everything has gone up, but im talking $20 for a pair of noticeably used target jeans...that is ridiculous. its a trend in the entire store, im not sure about all goodwills, but they all have the $19.99 price tag to use so you can only assume. at the end of the day these items are USED, DONATED and the company is NONPROFIT. doesnt make any sense to be trying so hard to exceed sales as much as they are.

I am a regular customer at this store and I am complaining about one cashier, a elderly Afro-American lady that is always rude. I always have to ask for a bag to put my paid items in, and it's enough where I do need a bag, and when I ask for one, she gives me the bag to bag myself. All the other cashiers do their job, and I feel like this is offensive and it's intended to make me feel this way.

Great store with a lot of great deals and is generally pretty clean. Well, except for the time I found a bag of weed stuffed into a stuffed animal. Also, the donation drop off tends to be VERY slow.

Great venue, with friendly staff and organized sales floor. Generally pricing is in line, though some items in the Footwear Department are overpriced. There are deals to be found here, and a great cause to support. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.
