On August 17th, 2025 around 3pm I wanted to take my friend out for a pedicure for her birthday. We chose Nail Trix. I explained I wanted a basic pedicure ($42) and my friend the gel pedicure ($59 with salt rub, skin removal and gel polish).
The lady my friend had was welcoming and inquisitive. The lady I had would repetitively ask me if I wanted to upgrade to the point of harassment. This is the point I should have walked out. But I wanted my friend to enjoy her birthday pedicure and didn’t want to leave her. When she asked if I wanted gel nail polish she could for $5 more to ensure my polish drys with my friends, so I said fine to the gel polish. She couldn’t keep up with her “deals, upselling”, she went back to saying I wanted a gel pedicure with the salt rub and skin removal. My friend would also state I only wanted the basic pedicure with the gel polish for the extra $5. I didn’t want the salt rub or skin removal. I was continued to be harassed and lied to even to the point the other associate seemed uncomfortable. Both me and my friend stated what we were just told and confirmed before I commented to the gel polish. When she refused stating this I was back to clear non gel nail polish. Why I didn’t leave then is only because my friend was in the middle of her pedicure. The lady I had then had another associate come over looking at me giving unpleasant facial gestures not in English. I had been harassed during the entire service.
When she was done she left and not one good conversation had been made at this point. The person my friend had was kind.
When we went up to pay I showed my card and the associate stated the card machine was not working and had to pay cash. We could see the machine was lit and another receipt was on the counter when we walked in originally as the paper had fell to the floor.
I paid $42 for a pedicure I could have done at home relaxed without being harassed or lied to.
I am disappointed not just at the service but myself for not leaving this establishment sooner.

I had the worst pedicure I’ve ever experienced here, and it cost $77. I didn’t receive a massage, which is usually a standard part of a pedicure. Instead, the technician pushed me into getting acrylic because it was “faster” and promised no extra charge.
The salon itself was filthy—crooked pictures on the wall, dirty floors, and an overall messy appearance. Definitely not a professional or relaxing environment.
The very next day, my heels were cracked so badly they looked worse than before (I’ve attached photos). A professional pedicure should never leave your feet in worse condition. This tells me they either over-filed, skipped proper hydration, or used cheap, harsh products.
For $77, I expected cleanliness, care, and quality service. Instead, I left with damaged heels and a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this salon at all.
Why This Shouldn’t Happen After a Pedicure
Proper care missing: A standard pedicure should include exfoliation, gentle smoothing, and deep moisturization. Skipping hydration (like lotion + massage) can cause dryness to worsen.
Over-filing or harsh treatment: If they aggressively removed callus skin, it can leave the fresh skin underneath too thin and prone to cracking.
Unsanitary environment: From your description (dirty floors, crooked pictures, unkempt space), hygiene might not have been a priority. Poor sanitation can also irritate skin or worsen dryness.
Cheap or harsh products: Sometimes low-quality acetone, scrubs, or unbuffered callus removers dry out the skin and damage its protective layer.

I would give them 0 stars if I could!! My friend and I decided to get pedicures. My friend also wanted manicure. As we were walking by the lady and her coworker didn’t have any customers. She came out and asked us what we wanted done and said come in! So we sat down. The lady rushed us. For $63 for a 20 minute pedicure all we got was hot towels and a sea salt rub. I went to pay and she had the nerve to ask if I had any cash for a tip. Then my friend was waiting for her finger nails to dry and she asked if I could get her card so she could pay me! After we left my friends finger nails smudged!! If you want to feel rushed and waste your money come here! HORRIBLE!!!

I took my wife there to get her nails filled and they using their tools dremeled too far through the nail. She now feels like her nails are gonna fall off and they are her natural nails that she grew for over 6 months. Being honest, why we only went there. Because the amazing nail salon, we normally went to just close down. They didn't get the acrylic to the back of the nail. Honestly, for $69, when we were originally quoted 45 another stylist, who said that she wasn't gonna do the work herself. Because we didn't have an appointment. This is at the Mall of America who makes appointments at the Mall of America. You expect 99%. Oh, clients, I'm probably gonna be walkins and somehow, my wife's nails were clean when we went in when we came out, there was some Brown gunk under the nail. And there's acrylic underneath the nail, like it's on the underside of the nail. I am incredibly disappointed. We asked if they have builder, gel. Which one person said yes, when we first came in and asked, and then it turned out that they didn't we only went in for a fill or to change out the color and in the end we left with disappointment, it was almost as if they were jealous that her real nails were as long as the acrylic nails that they would normally put on the false nails. They also filed her nails down, shortening them when they did not need to be shortened. We are both incredibly upset because she was very proud of how long she was able to grow her nails.

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THEY’RE SCAMS!!!!
They’re very unprofessional, rude and rough on customers. They lie about prices. The place looks disgusting! They don’t clean your nail properly. I took my mom and my daughter here last week and I will never go back here. Once the lady painted my daughter nail and toe, they changed the price on us. We agreed on $40 and then she said it’s $55 When I asked why the price changed, she said “ don’t get your nails done if you don’t have money.” I was shocked with the response. My daughter nail polish start coming off the next day. Very dissatisfied with the service. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!! PLEASE BE AWARE!!!

Just don’t do it. They were horrible. Dirty, rough, etc. just pass. Didn’t even take off all the previous polish. My feet and toes are literally sore. I hope I don’t get an infection.

DO NOT GO HERE. Try L.A. Nails instead. TRUST me. My first clue that it was a big mistake to try them out was when there was absolutely no one in the salon when I arrived. And they were pushy from the jump. I should have turned right back around at the first sign that this was not gonna be worth it. I paid $89 for MESS. Live and learn.

7.19.25 The salon was not clean, and I was charged $79 for a basic manicure and pedicure with regular nail polish. When I inquired about pricing, no alternative options were offered, and communication was difficult due to a language barrier. The overall experience felt rushed and stressful, with very little attention or care given. For the price, I expected a more relaxing and professional service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Never coming back. There were only 2 of them and they were rushing. It's impossible to keep people waiting and rushing services. I didn't even get a massage or hot towel because they took forever running back and forth helping me and another customer. Plus for what I paid.. It was supposed to be no chip and literally the next day it started chipping on my hands. Smh. I need to find a nail shop 😒

Very old-looking place that needs to be refreshed. Got a pedicure, but the technician missed a few areas. I asked her to correct them and she admitted her vision was not that good anymore. She was friendly, but I got the cheapest pedicure because I knew it wouldn't be worth the investment of asking for anything more.
I think their customers are out of town visitors to Mall of America, as I can't see them having any regulars. I simply went here because we were staying at a hotel attached to the mall and it was a simple walk over.
Updated a week and a half later.... Gel on toenails totally came off on three toes. I think this place is using expired products. There's no reason for gel to be coming off this easily/quickly.
DO NOT waste your time or money here!!!

Paid $55 for an awful manicure that she did in less than 20 min. Should have read reviews before walking in…. Total waste. Save your money. (Also was very pushy about upselling)

As a licensed cosmetologist I will absolutely be reporting this salon to the board of cosmology. I’m horrified at how unprofessional and unsanitary this nail salon is. Absolutely unacceptable.

Be careful went last weekend very bad they using used tools from other people, not clean used tools I was shocked 😳.
Over price for a terrible job not clean. Reap off. Now I’m worried if I will get some diseases or HiV from tools she used. Where is Healthy department ? Why they not check this place?

Wasn’t the best experience they were very pushy and rude. I would not go again. Nicked my skin as well . Some of the nails are not even with the others. They were way off what they originally quoted me (50$) at the end paid about 80. Do not recommend.
