I recently had a terrible experience at this Sam’s Club. I do not recommend. Buyer beware. If you buy a battery from Sam’s club and you expect them to honor the 3 year warranty they sell you, you better plan on having a membership for the entire three years. Here’s what happened, the battery I bought was bad. They tested it and said yes it’s bad, we will replace it. Thing is I didn’t use my Sam’s club membership and canceled it. In order to have them replace the DEFECTIVE battery that they sold, I had to spend $40 to buy another membership because they had no idea how to do it with out one. (Not my problem) Turns out it didn’t have to be my membership card, just any membership card, which is so ridiculous. My partner also let them know I was going through cancer treatment and we really needed to get the car running in a timely fashion. (At this point they had the battery overnight because they would t exchange it even though they said it was defective and we had the receipt.)
The manager told us that her sister had cancer too and this was a non issue. Not, “oh I’m sorry your going through that, that must make this extra stressful.” Or ANY empathy. Beyond disgusted. I understand people have jobs to do and policies to enforce. However, when you purchase something and have the receipt and it’s defective. And when you purchased it and a warranty was included it was not stated that in order to enforce the warranty you must also stay a member for three years. It should have and then you can make the decision if this is the right place to make a purchase.
I had called the night before to present my issue and I was told no problem, come in tomorrow at 12:30 and a manager will override the system. This managers name is Kim. The manager (Kim) said that the person I spoke to, Miles, was not a manger but a team lead and should not have told me that. Well, when I called the store and asked to speak to a manger, someone went and got him. If he’s not a manger, he shouldn’t present himself as one and make promises that the company will not keep. (However Miles was extremely kind and polite) I hope Kim, can do better for the next people that dare to have a unique customer service situation at their store and possibly show some human compassion for people, not just write their situation off. And no I’m not saying my cancer should have got me anything, but I am saying it should have warranted compassion and not told it was a “non issue.” As someone that is a professional trainer for corporate America, this sickened me. Do better. But hey, $40 later I got my defective battery replaced. Seems totally fair. (That’s sarcasm) oh and also when I went to buy a membership they could not sell me one because their I pads were not working right, so I had to go on my phone and purchase the membership. I also did not see any wheelchairs or scooters in store for folks, (myself included) with mobility issues. We asked a staff member if they had any, because it was getting hard for me to stand in line while this agent tried over and over again to do my membership and we were told they didn’t know where any were. Wow. Seems like no one has it together at this store or they don’t care about the customer expertise. Definitely don’t feel like a valued anything there.

this morning at 6:02 i arrived at Sams for gas. today was the 4th time i was unable to get gas because the pumps were not working. i talked with another customer who said he complained to the manager. he said the manager didn't care which is obvious since this issue has been ongoing for a month. its time for a new manager that values customers. i'm tired of wasting time and i bet the cars that were backed up to the street are not too happy about it either.

Sams club has been a steady source for items in my household for decades. Sams is known for bulk items and saving money. The gas is often at least 10 cents cheaper than other gas companies. The online orders and curbside assistance has been without error for the past year ; at various locations. I really value the consistency from location to location. The process is quick and easy. Staff is always helpful and friendly even though sometimes you can tell that they are extremely busy.

If Costco and Sams were ever really entered in a competition, Sams Club would be afraid to show up. That is why Sams will one day go out of town.

I don't understand what needs to happen for you to perk up your ears and listen, now we have a situation I clearly made every single effort possible to prevent. I called your establishment not this Wednesday but the Wednesday before and I clearly stated that I am a working whipmaster and I also clearly stated I would be in front of your store just after 3pm until about 4:15 pm, cracking my whip. I said: "When you see me, don't come outside and keep everybody in check over there because I WILL be cracking my whip" What do I need to get through to you? Now at least 5 people are injured because of YOUR recklessness and I am at a loss. I figure your legal team should handle this because I am just as much a victim here as: Sam, George, O'Leary, Patricia and Frances are Am I getting through to you? AM I getting through? Please fix this travesty and leave me the heck out of it.

This store has the absolute rudest employees. I get it's the holiday season, that we're in the middle of a pa remix, but it's no excuse. I was trying to get gas and there was no signs pointing to any sort of line. The parking lot is a mess as is. I go and pull into a spot and an attendant comes up to my car. She sticks her face in my window in my face waving her finger SCREAMING that I had to go to the back of the line line anyone else. She was so close if she wasn't masked she would have been spitting in my face. The employees here could learn some people skills.

Sam's Club Bloomington Optical Department could not have been more impressive. Laura, the Optical Manager, is a delight to deal with, is efficient, and is so friendly. I'm so glad I chose to visit this store and location.

Literally the worst Sam's I've ever been tormented with. I bought snow tires this winter and had to jump through 1000 hoops to have them installed. I called everyday for over a week before speaking with someone and setting an appointment that still was over a week later. When they were finally installed, I was told to bring the car back once the weather was consistently warmer to have my original tires put back on there. Today, I have been on hold again for way too long only for the person to tell me to try another location because they are not open yet. With the pandemic, that part is valid so I was understanding but I had to literally press the guy for more information on a location that could actually remove the snow tires before next month when they anticipate opening again. Finally reached another location and wasn't able to set an appointment until another week. If I had known this would be my tire experience at Sam's, I would have most definitely shopped elsewhere. Customer service is severely lacking.

Given the circumstances of recent events, the staff was helpful and courteous. But they could have put some special attention to organization since it's a no brainer that the crazy's will be out shopping buying everything off the shelves.

This one star goes to the tire department at this location. I've been a member for over 10 years and the customer service I received from Christen was horrendous. I came in on a Tuesday to get my tires done and windshield wipers done and waited for 25 minutes for assistance and nothing. I'm so sick of the lack of customer service at this location it's sad. So I will be cancelling my membership and going to Costco.
