I have been going to Southtown for many years and normally my experience has been good with Mai and that is why I came for so many years. Lately there have been instances where she seems to never take accountability and likes to blame things on me.
This past Sunday I came in for a fill & pedicure and the experience was good. Then when I got home I noticed and significant discoloration on my fingers and toe nails so I texted her and she said to come in. She added more top coat to try and fix it which didn’t work so she proceeded to tell me if I don’t like it then I will have to pick a new color. It’s not the fact that I didn’t “like it” it’s the fact that I didn’t get what I paid for. She removed the polish on my fingernails and repainted them. Normally Mai is friendly but she was very quiet and cold during this time.
We then moved to the pedicure chair to change the polish on my toes and still she was quiet and cold. When she started to paint them she said that that was nothing wrong with my toes but she will fix it cause I “dont like it” even tho they were discolored. She started to gaslight me to make it seem like I was the problem and because of the white marks on my nails. The new polish didn’t have any discoloration so what she claimed was false. I told her I didn’t really want to waste my time to come back to get my nails fixed and then I started to cry. She was silent for the rest of the time while I cried in the chair till she finished my nails.
Not once did I get an apology for having to come back to fix my nails and being gaslighted is unacceptable. Also while I was clearly upset and crying the new owner just watched from the chair nearby and then decided to take a nap so she clearly doesn’t care about how customers are treated.

For the prices they charge the service was not great. I got a a gel French pedicure, the tips are not straight, even when she supposedly “fixed” it. Eye brows are ok.. but definitely not happy with what they charged for what I received. Couldn’t even leave a tip. Smh CITY NAILS (Richfield) WE MISS YOU!!!

My pedicure had my toenails cut so short it hurt to file. Not a drop of lotion or massage for my pedicure. Only a little lotion and 20 second massage for my mani. The gel is not smooth.

Kim and Vicki helped me and did a wonderful job. The staff are friendly, the vibe is peaceful and the salon is clean. Will definitely go back!

Multiple times now had my nails peel before a week had been up. Gel polish over acrylic. Today a nail completely broke off not even a full week after a fill. Will go elsewhere from now on.
