I've been buying bait at the Balsam store for over 25 years. This year the bait dies before I can get 5 miles down the road. The young man that gave me the bait said what do you want us to do about it. First time I've ever been treated with disrespect from them. I would not recommend buying live bait from them! And very expensive!!!!

Been going here for 17 years, ownership has changed through the years, but the store is awesome and I look forward to getting my fishing license here, my minnows, food, supplies. Miss the ice cream counter, but still happy here.

This is an amazing store deep in the Northwoods. We were working on a construction project at our cabin and were able to get additional screws, drill bits and other various hardware items that we would have otherwise had to drive 1 hour to Grand Rapids to get.
This is a large, clean store with a nice assortment of sporting goods and convenience store groceries.
