I originally left ECE a poor review due to Fiber connectivity issues. After leaving the review, ECE promptly reached out to me and sent two techs out to identify the problem. The two techs were great, diagnosed the issue and resolved the problem. I'm changing my review to 5 stars, they promptly resolved my problems which I really appreciated.

They have started requiring a 500 dollar deposit. To even activate electric service. No care if its cold or low income. Pay or freeze is their policy.

When I had my fiber installed, Mike was amazing to work with. He was very patient with all my questions and knew his way around the app. I appreciate his professionalism and have been very pleased with my internet since day 1.

1 of the most difficult companies you could ever deal with, from waiting 100+ days to get new building energized to paying your bill. Not a thing is simple with these people. They have a monopoly on the power in area so it's not like we even have a choice.

We've had electric through ECE for forever and never had any issues with them. Whenever there's a power outage, we see them out ASAP to get it fixed, rain or snow or shine. Outages are inevitable, but they do what they can to get things fixed as quickly as possible.
Just recently got set up for FIBER INTERNET, so thankful to have high speed in our area, THANK YOU FOR BRINGING US QUALITY INTERNET OUT IN THE RURAL TREES, ECE!!!!! The contractors that set everything up were all amazing, super kind to work with, respectful, took off their shoes/wore boot covers in the house, knew their stuff... And whenever I had to call the main office about setting up all this stuff, everyone there was so nice and well-informed.
I'm SUPER thankful to have these services in our area, with a company that genuinely works on behalf of its customers, and provides quality service. Keep up the great work, ECE!

All of my interactions have been extremely positive. I believe I spoke with Emily and Janelle, and they were both friendly, patient, and respectful while answering all of my questions.
The crew that came out to install the lines and mark everything in the yard did an excellent job. Raymond in particular made the process so easy and took great care of my yard and driveway throughout the installation.
The whole process was fast and painless—just two weeks from my first phone call to having fiber internet up and running.

Never on time with their estimates on when power will be restored. Small town, power is out entire town. Not a single crew working, and power supposed to be back up by now. Crews arrived 36 minutes after the estimated time for power to be back on. So they are also liars.
1 hour after power was supposed to be back on, it is still not turned back on.
Took them 1 hour and 6 minutes after the estimated time of power restoration. I could understand a few minutes, not this. Oh and our town was only 23 people without power no other storm outages at the time. And it took this long to get the job done? I pray to God it does not happen on a larger scale. People will be out of power for days with there inadequate crews!
Cannot wait to get off this horrible grid and produce my own power. This company is greed driven, they do not care that you have no power. The entire power distribution model in the US need to be reformed and taken away from greedy CEOs.

UPDATE: Spoke with a supervisor at ECE. For the moment it sounds like this is going to get resolved. Also to clarify, ITG appears to be the problem here, the contractor that ECE uses for burying of their fiber lines.
Runs fiber through your irrigation system, does not inform. Cuts the line, buries it. Something that should have been an easy repair is now a big deal. Has ITG contact you, ITG lies and says it's Midco. It's not. Call 811, locate proves it's ECE's fiber. Tell ECE you don't want to talk to ITG. ITG calls you again, claims they fixed it (they did not). Horrible experience. Whomever is handling this at ECE needs to be fired, and ITG should have their contract revoked. Liars, all a bunch of liars.

I have a new construction home that while building it the only power I used was to charge batteries and a couple led work lights and my bills were over $300. If I was a day late on a payment a person was sent out to collect and charge an extra $50 for a field call. My last bill was $189 and no one even lives there.

This place doesn't care about hardships they only care about money! They monopolize the whole rural area with no other options! In the city my bill was a 1/4 of what is now!!!

Worst customer service I have had. If you can choose an electric company choose anyone else. They send threatening emails and letters at 8 am the day your bill is due, and when you call to ask why after 12 years of never missing a payment I get a threat to shut off my power on the due date. The representative doesn't care and trys to talk at you like a child. Try a reminder email before threatening a long time customer.
