We were referred to Lakes Area Storage and Moving out of Brainerd Minnesota from a very reputable realtor in Aitkin.
Brad and Brenda, owners, know the moving business inside and out and we were able to do a walk-through our 3200 sq ft house and three large out buildings and gave a spot on estimate that was better than others. They gave us great packing tips that made it easier on us and they said they would handle and did handle disassembling furniture from beds to glass cabinets. Because I had to reserve the storage unit from U.S. Storage early (also from Brainerd), Brad and Brenda came up with a great idea of moving our items out in stages - first the out buildings, second the basement and third the other two levels. Their crew was very friendly and efficient and laid down floor coverings in the house and even parts of the yard and after each visit there was no dirt left behind. They knew what they were doing, they carefully disassembled everything wrapped and padded where necessary. They loaded up so fast yet carefully, I could hardly believe it - it was amazing to watch. I highly recommend Lakes Area Moving & Storage if you want your move to be worry free, timely and at the best price.

My husband and I recently moved from Brainerd down to the twin cities. This was our first experience with movers and they set the bar so high for any future companies we use. Brenda was so responsive via email and gave us a quote and explained exactly how she got to that number. The movers themselves were on time, super professional and showed care for our items. They were accommodating and were more than willing to make a stop at our storage unit for some of our bigger items. I highly recommend them and now have such high expectations for any future movers we may use.

I have used these movers for several years! They are the best around! All the packers & movers are great! They are so helpful with everything! When Brenda comes to your home to give you an estimate she’s so thoughtful. When the guys are done and give me the bill it’s always what the bid was from Brenda. No surprises!
