I’m going to start off saying the teachers are wonderful. My children went to this center from about 5 months old to 2 years old. I think the director Carita is a liar. She told me that she could not provide me with a policy book because new horizon doesn’t have one. Only forms from enrollment. All cooperate companies have a policy book if a parent requests one or at least knows where to find one. My children are twins in the same program and she told me at the last minute that one of my children only had 3 days of funding left when that was all she had left and claimed she “forgot” to tell me earlier. After that funding was gone, I had to figure out what to do next being a single parent. She then filled her spot while I was in the process of getting Hennepin county back on file. I could go on and on about Ms. Carita. I would give this center a 5 star based off of the teachers and the assistant director but because I had a terrible experience with Ms. Carita, it’s a 1 star. Maybe she should be a little empathetic to people’s situations but so felt like she didn’t care and she wanted to push my children out. She picks and chooses when she wants to enforce the rules and who she enforced those rules with. Please do better with who you staff in these centers.

So convenient, but like all childcare options outside of a home setting it's not cheap. In the limited number of times we admitted our son, the quality of care was always near greatness.

Both my children love it! They love the teachers! The teachers communicate with you as well as with each other. Both the directors are wonderful and interactive with the parents, teachers, and children. Highly recommended.

Really need to work on communication amongst director to employee to parents and vice versa. My child has not been at this center for a month and I have ran into tons of problems and confusion and frustration with this center that I did not expect. Dad and I thought this would be a great place and environment and help and benefit my child but unfortunately we’re starting to regret this decision. I’m really frustrated and until I see a change I will not be updating my rating because I am highly disappointed in this company as a whole. Corporate is not even helpful and is Pro-Employee instead of Pro-Customer. When I say that I mean no matter what the customer says they believe their employees over the parents and I’m just not okay with being told what I’m saying is not truthful or theirs nothing they can do to fix what has been done. Really needs help in the customer service field because this is just not okay.

I love this location! My daughter started when she was about 8 months, & my daughter loves it as well, I love all of the staff here they treat my daughter with lots of love I will never switch her to another facility again, I love the director and they treat us like family!

We have been so happy with our experiences at New Horizon Academy in Brooklyn Park! We started at the center when my boys were 7 months and 3 years. The infant room has always been amazing. They inform me immediately if there are any issues, even something as little as a diaper rash. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help us out and make sure he is well cared for. The preschool room has been great as well. My son wakes up every Monday and says, "I get to see my friends and teachers today!" with so much excitement. As a teacher education is very important to me. He is always learning new things at school and loves to sing the songs they sing that help him learn. He is learning to write his letters and counting on his own. I feel lucky to have NHA in Brooklyn Park caring for children when I can't be with them.

As a first time mom I was very nervous about putting my daughter into daycare. I decided to put her into New Horizon in Brooklyn Park and it was the best choice I could have made! From the infant room on up all of the teachers are very hands on with each child. My child has learned so much from attending this center. She looks forward to going to daycare every day! I love how they keep me updated with what my daughter is doing on daily connect. Thank you New Horizon and especially the director Mrs. Sarah

My almost 2 year old loves her teachers in the toddler room and is learning so much! She comes home singing new songs everyday! She is also starting to count and is understanding more. She also seeks out all of the management staff before she leaves to give her hugs to them.

We couldn't be happier with our daughter's experience at this center. Our 2 year old loves all of the teachers and staff, and is excited to go to "school" every day. We are impressed daily with what our daughter learns, and love hearing her talk about her day, count in Spanish, or sing her favorite new song.

A lot of double standards at this center. If you have an active kid, I definitely won't recommend them because they absolutely frown at that, it's too much work for them.
