I've had the complete pleasure of working with Jackson N. to secure my purchase of a Hansen Pole Building workshop for our property. Jackson is completely kind and understanding through the myriad of my changes, questions, what-ifs, and adjustments. You could never tell he is paid a commission! It is all about the customer with Jackson!
I first was attracted to Hansen Pole Buildings because they had the most complete website and list of resources of any outfit out there! You can tell they know the business and have the experience to back it up. I've learned more from their free website than the $24 pole barn book I bought. Then, once I began working with Jackson and he provided sketches and renderings, I was sold!
I just completed the purchase phase of the experience and am so excited about receiving my order in July 2024. I know their post purchase support will match or exceed my experience thus far!

Wish it could have worked out.We began the purchasing process by putting 25% (around $27k) down and got our plans for a 40x40 with a loft and two shed roofs. Hansen worked with us to make a couple changes along the way per county code. The service up to this point was pretty good and the plans we received were okay. We ended up not being able to proceed further with purchasing the kit due to unforeseen personal and financial reasons. We requested a partial refund despite being well aware of the no return policy because for $27k all we got was a material list and a set of plans which we needed to supplement with a draftsman to complete the set to be able to get a permit. In my experience as a general contractor, sets of complete building plans usually cost around 10-15k so we didn't feel we got value from our purchase. But we did sign the contract, so we are out of luck.I was told repeatedly that they do not offer building plans alone as a service, which is why they structure the payments that way, yet they also told me the vast majority of the work on their end was done when all I got was the plans. Kind of contradictory to me, but again, we signed the papers.I am not bashing the company, I am just making it known to potential buyers that the down payment they require (usually 30%) is intentionally high so that if you change your mind they still make their money off of you. Just be sure you want to commit, and if you're going to build it yourself, consider hiring an architect/ draftsman. You will need one anyways to get a permit. Using their material list I was able to get quotes on materials for about half of the balance I had left to pay. All you have to do is figure out the materials yourself. ( draftsman can do this.) and a few phone calls/ coordination you can probably do it yourself.

We tool a long LONG time to finalized the plans due to project delay on my side. Through almost 2 years the team at Hansen never gave up on us. They understood and were patient and friendly the entire time. Once we pulled the trigger Hansen kicked it into high gear getting drafts and final document over in a matter of weeks!!!Thank you for all your help. I hope I don't need to use it but I am glad that there is Hansen Support after the project materials are delivered, and I am sure that will be just as great as the service to get it all drafted.Sincerely,Doug Mangini

We've been working with Jackson and I can't say good enough things about our experience. My husband and I have zero knowledge of pole buildings and would be completely lost without Jackson's help. He's been very patient, informative, and responds to questions extremely fast. We haven't gotten materials yet but I'm pretty confident we will be happy with them.
