“Genuinely enjoyed my time at Southwest Arms. The two guys working there were so kind and knowledgeable. They were willing to help with an attachment for a new-to-me firearm. Neither one asked me to leave a review but my experience was so positive a review was the least I could do as a thank you. Will continue to support this business!”
“Large selection of handguns. Lower priced handguns to high priced 2011s. They had some aftermarket trigger options for Glock handguns. Knowledgeable staff who are helpful.”

“My experience is with online purchases. Once you get used to the forms the process is a breeze. The order was placed on a Friday, sent to my FFL the following Tuesday and picked up that afternoon. Pricing was better than expected. Product met and exceeded expectations.”
“I had a barrel re-blued by Bob. He explained the process, set expectations, clearly knows what he's doing, is very well equipped, communicated well, and did a beautiful job.
I will come back for any gunsmithing needs I have in the future. Thank you Bob!”
“I got my fishing license at the service counter. It's something like $18 for a conservation fishing license and $26 for the regular one. Minnesota is moving towards doing it all online so you don't need to even go into the store just log onto the state website to get your license. The fishing poles had a great selection. The prices are confusing. A $20 pole can be right next to a $150-$200 pole. I couldn't find anyone to check prices so I had to find a price checking machine. The Shakespeare poles were 30% off just to add to the confusion. I got a nice pole and reel combination that came with a small tackle box.”
“I made a mistake and than made a uncalled for scene at the store. Dillion was very understanding and fix the issue. I would buy again from here!! Support local small businesses”
“Just called Fleet pharma in Burnsville,/lake bell, you know, what, these guys blow it away, had a couple of questions was looking for a certain item, not only did they tell me where it could be found, told me multiple ways to make sure I could get that item good job guys. This is what I like Great customer service. Shout out to Anthony yay. Anthony, you help me and you did a great job!”
“Got the two month special for $15/ month. Decent wash, but it takes a long time-7-8 min. Not a great job on the back window and the dryers don't really take care of the back either. It's a decent special price”

“I had an awesome experience taking a shooting lesson! Joe was extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient, and took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand.
What really stood out to me was the depth of firearm knowledge. I learned not only about shooting fundamentals, but also about proper firearm handling, safety, and understanding the equipment. The instruction was hands-on, informative, and tailored to my experience level.
I left the lesson feeling much more confident and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this instructor to anyone looking to improve their shooting skills or simply gain a better understanding of firearms. It was an excellent experience from start to finish!
I had an excellent experience working with Mike at The Modern Sportsman. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly throughout the entire experience. Mike took the time to answer all of my questions, explain everything clearly, and made sure I was comfortable with my decisions without ever making me feel rushed or pressured.
What really stood out was Mike’s customer service and willingness to go above and beyond to help. His knowledge and professionalism made a big difference, and it was clear that he genuinely cares about providing customers with a great experience.
I would highly recommend asking for Mike if you visit The Modern Sportsman. He is a great representative of the store, and I really appreciate all of his help!”
