Due to COVID you have to call when you arrive and they will come and let you in. While I'm surprised they're still doing this we did get in pretty quickly. We were able to go in with our dog and a mask was not required. We were expecting our dog would need x-rays and was expecting it was not going to be cheap. The vet examined her and did not feel x-rays were necessary. He explained our options for treatment but never made us feel pressured. He listened to all of our questions and concerns and answered them. We did not feel rushed at any time. The next morning he personally called us with the blood test results. While a visit to a vet is not cheap. I feel their prices were in line with any other vet. If not, even a little less than I expected and to find a vet who does not do unnecessary treatment or diagnosis tests (x-rays) is amazing. We were treated well but most importantly our dog was treated well. I would not hesitate to recommend them after the visit we had. They even scanned my dog's micro chip so they could enter it in their database in the event she is ever lost and they can help. This was done as their office practice. It was a great idea I had not even thought about.

Valley View pet hospital staff are awesome! They really care about your pets and how they are feeling. I had to put down my senior Boston terrier on Monday and the experience was better than I could have expected. They let me take time to say goodbye and let me be there the whole way through. I still have another senior dog who has a lot of medical issues and Dr. Anderson really cares about Gabbi and she treats each issue that comes up with her effectively. I highly recommend Valley View pet hospital.

I had to find another avian vet.....and my pets are my everything so agreeing to do curbside was very difficult decision for me to make, especially to a new vet. I feel I am my animals voice and not being able to see the interaction was extremely difficult for me to do. After speaking with Dr Douglas Gates I felt 300% satisfied that he knew how to handle my 2 amazons, was very familiar with there behaviors and I believe he enjoyed Woody's entertainment as much as I do. I can hardly wait until this covid-19 has lifted so that I can actually meet him in person because I will be returning to see him again. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to giving them an exam and willing to learn there background.Robin Hale

(copied from my Google review) We recently adopted a rescue beardie with mbd. He is about 8-9 months. We wanted to get his mbd under control and were looking for a forever vet for our reptile. After reading reviews of other bearded dragon customers, we chose valley view. I'm very glad we did. Our vet that seen us was Dr. Anderson. She was so sweet, knowledgeable, and was very helpful and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. I read that a lot of 'exotic vets' don't seem to know much about dragons and give a lot of wrong information. I have done months of research and To our surprise, Dr. Anderson was very knowledgeable in reptile/ bearded dragon and the husbandry which really relieved a lot of my worries. I was very happy with my experience at valley view and with Dr. Anderson. Phoenix recieved a calcium injection, was sent home with 2 months of liquid calcium, and has a recheck next week. I was really happy about how she didn't try to upsell us on x-rays and blood work. When she brought up the blood work, we didn't say no and we also didn't say yes and she still didn't try to push it to get money out of us which like I said, I really really liked. This is a really nice exotic vet and this will be Phoenix's forever doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Anderson! After 6 days Phoenix is already gaining strength, has less tremors, splashes around in the bath, is more active, and is doing so much better! I highly recommend valley view for a bearded dragon/ exotic vet! Edit: We had a recheck for Phoenix yesterday Feb 28th. Right when Dr. Anderson walked in the door after greeting us, she brought up the review I left on Google and thanked me. She said her vet tech had printed it out to show her and she quoted a couple things I had said, which was really nice. I love this vet. You can tell they appreciate and care about their patients/customers. Dr.Anderson's vet tech is also very sweet and caring. She loves seeing and petting Phoenix when he comes in. When Phoenix went in for his first appoint he barely moved and was really uncoordinated because of his mbd. Yesterday he crawled right to Dr. Anderson and up her arm. He is doing Soo much better thanks to Dr.Anderson and her team. Thank you valley view for making out beardie and us feel loved and comfortable. We appreciate everything you guys have done.

Over the years I've had to have a couple of small pets (rodents) put to sleep. They were very compassionate with my needs and afterwards I received a sympathy card in the mail. That was the icing on the cake! :)

Can't believe it's been almost three years since my first review. I absolutely love this vet clinic. I've brought so many mice here, and the vets and techs are so good with them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mouse vet. I also bring my cats here, and they normally hate going to the vet, but seem to like going here. I cannot say enough what a satisfied customer I am. I love this clinic.

This clinic was recommended and when my dog wasn't feeling well my wife brought her in on Tuesday to be checked. She was told by the vet that she was off on Wednesday but when the lab work came back on Wednesday it would be reviewed and if something serious was seen, we would be notified. -at 6pm on Tuesday we were called because there was an unidentified p*** sample left and they wondered if it was from our dog -we weren't called until 9:30 on Thursday - we were told to go to an emergency vet right away. The U of M was recommended -when I told the vet how angry I was that we hadn't been called on Wednesday as promised her reply was "duly noted" -no one called us later that day to check on our dog, nor reply to an email that we sent -if I could rate this clinic less than 1, I would.

I can't explain how well treated I felt and how well treated my bunny felt when stepping foot at Valley View. For all my Bunny parents in MN please don't waste your time going anywhere else. The staff here are very well trained with exotics, which includes Buns! It's so hard to find a place where they are truly trained with exotics but they really do take their time to insure your pet is getting quality care! Not only do you get the best care here, but the price is right too! I won't go anywhere else but here! I'm someone who takes my animals health very serious, I am very opinionated, and I'm not easily pleased but when I say you will get the best care here. I mean it!

My bearded dragon, Coraline, is such a little brat. Which I love. She's adorable, chill, and cuddly but also gives me attitude and a hard time. Just like her mama (me)! This winter, she was barely eating and pooping, and I had tried everything. So I found Valley View on Yelp and was thrilled to see they specialize in caring for exotic pets! I walked in and was greeted by cute old kitties, a baby beardie, and some birds. Can I move in tho? I saw Dr. Larry Tholl, who really seemed to know his stuff. He examined Coraline and gave me his insight, which was that she's just slowing down due to becoming fully grown + the never-ending winter. I felt confident in his wisdom and the whole appointment did not feel rushed. He gave me some tips and resources to take home. I've also dropped off her stool sample here, which is real easy to do. Just drop it off, pay, and they'll call you in a few days with results. I feel like my beardie is in good hands here for sure.
