Not a great Cub. I only stop here because of the convenient location. Otherwise, this is an easy pass.
The location is small, selection is poor, staff is poorly trained and more imperfectly than you'd expect. Not they location you want to shop for the holiday roast, to say the least.

This Cub needs major improvements. The smell is awful around the deli. It smells like rotten food. Where are the government inspectors? Freezers do not work and leak water on a floor, creating a major hazard. I asked a store employee about the water, and he started ranting that it is all customer's fault - they keep the doors open for too long. I have had a cashier simply close the lane and walk off while looking at me after I unloaded the produce. Staff is very unfriendly in general. The store is missing key products every time I go there, forcing me to drive to Rogers Cub. I have shopped in Rogers Cub for 25 years and could never imagine that a Cub could be this terrible. It is a completely opposite to the one in Rogers.

The employees are miserable. They need to strengthen their brand. Disappointment.

Sushi here is better than what you would expect for the price, especially on Wednesdays. Shout out to the sushi girl at the counter.

Sells rotten meats and won’t exchange unless we brought the rotten meats back which already got picked up by garbage truck.. didn’t know I had to save them, stink up the house in order to get replacements - didn’t even ask for a refund. Be Aware of expired food and moldy produces.

Brooklyn Park store was packed so I went for a drive and ended up at this one. Overall not a bad store but the freezer section was a little concerning. The freezers are old, all the door windows were fogged up and the aisles had water all over the floors from condensation leaking out the doors. Went to grab some things and the boxes felt soggy so I decided not to buy any frozen foods.

my wife called the store asking if they had a dozen roses. she got transferred to floral department and the lady answered the phone saying that they did not have it in stock. she went there 30min later to pickup a cake, and they did have a dozen roses. so she spent $60 elsewhere instead of $20 at the cub. when confronted, the lady said she didn’t receive any calls that day. she has the call log that says it was champlin cub foods. don’t appreciate being lied to. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The staff are hard working, friendly, and helpful. I prefer the flavor of the roasted chicken at Cub over Costco's. They have veggies and spices that Target doesn't have. Their baked goods (cookies, donuts, and etc) are also better than Target. We order our cakes from Cub because they are more affordable that Target and they are decorated nicely. They have a larger selection of frozen treats that we prefer such as Johnny Pop popsicles. Cub pharmacy is better than Walgreens and CVS. The pharmacists are very responsive and helpful. They fill my prescriptions faster than other pharmacies. Main criticism is that they need more staffing. Sometimes they only staff one cashier and the check out lines become so long that they block the flow of customers trying to shop.

If I could give a negative rating I would. This Cub has gone down hill so fast within the last 6-8 weeks it is unbelievable. The meat counter is pathetic - very empty looking. In the dairy department I was going to buy some cottage cheese, but there was one container of the brand/style that I wanted and it had a use by date of March 1st (today is March 10th) - what ever happened to quality control? Those are only two of my many concerns. Maybe this will be the next Cub to shutter its doors, because obviously management doesn't care . There were two helpful employees, one woman behind the deli counter and one gentleman who was stocking shelves and then I saw him working as a cashier. When I was loading my groceries into my car there was an employee outside collecting carts, so I walked my cart over to him - not so much as a thank-you. Wake up people - if customers get fed-up enough they will quit coming into this store and then you will all be out of a job! Management obviously could care less.

Deli man was so rude, and he swore! I had two kids with me and they heard him too. I felt like a pain in the butt just by being there. I mean I’m sorry I put you out!?!? 😡😡

It's a grocery store. It's got ice cream, donuts, cookies, chocolate, bacon, and a few other essentials.

The people working in the meat department are rude and appear to be lazy or just don’t want to help.

Ordered the Thanksgiving dinner for 4. Turkey was O.K. I guess, mashed potatoes were fine, stuffing was good and gravey was adequate. Green been casserole was terrible. Had some kind of chemicals taste. Sweet potatoes were bland and way too sweet. They give you cranberry RELISH, and notcranberry sauce. That's a mistake you only make once. Pumpkin pie was good. Threw most of the order away. Will not try Cub for this again. Probably try Hyvee if we do this again.

If you can get someone to help you at there deli or meat department it's done reluctantly. Usually the employee will wait for you to leave and avoid acknowledgement that your waiting and then come over and act inconvenienced because they have to help you. Local competitors like target and hy vee are always waiting and very friendly and helpful. Done with this local cub and will make the trip to other stores in the future even though they are miles away....Edit of my review six years later and nothing has changed. Who ever manages this place should be fired. Customer service is awful.
