Overall a lot of potential, but so many machines have loose bolts, wobbly or on verge of collapsing... Brought up to staff a couple months back yet no progress. For being right across from corporate expect more. Lakeville better quality. First example of machine free weight shoulder press. Please fix everything

Yes. It is a beautiful athletic country club. But their customer service and loyalty is sub par at best. They keep increasing their fees, as their services and club maintenance decreases. They change apps without giving notice, and procedures with no instruction. Oh and FYI, they charge you $2.25 a month for the magazine you never actually asked for, but was buried in the small print. Their loophole. I spoke to the club manager, who unsubscribed me, but then passed the blame to corporate when i asked for a credit back. So i called corporate, who passed the decision back to the club itself.I spoke with ****** at corporate, who could not have been more obnoxious, followed by a supervisor ****, who was more professional, but thoroughly unhelpful and clearly not well trained or interested in keeping members. I must have sent 20 referrals to this club in the past year. I will never send another. How do they not get this??? How easy it is to lose a customer's good will. And how simple to fix and keep. Anyway, after stating how i was never told about a magazine fee, even though it was buried in the contract. She said, oh, the first 3 months were complimentary, after that, if you don't unsubscribe, then we charge you monthly. When i offered to give her her unrequested magazines back, she still refused to adjust the fees. In my opinion this is duplicitous and underhanded. I get the money grab, but when your members call you on it, you should at least credit them back. On principal. The proper response should have been, "we are sorry you were unaware, we will do better at letting our members know about this. Of course, we will be happy to credit you back, your loyalty as a founding member is important to us." That is how you do it, so that you don't get a BBB review of your behavior shared. Seriously. Members...Check your statements. You will find this magazine fee added monthly. It comes to $30/more a year. Call to remove if you are unaware.

Life Time Fitness, **********, ** is a nice and clean gym with great aquatic facilities and a mostly pleasant staff. However, you had better enjoy it while you are young because, once you turn 65, they want you OUT!!!I know it is hard to believe a public gym can get away with age discrimination in today's world, but Life Time has figured out how to do it. Once they find out how old you are, they give you the option of sharply curtailed access hours or paying astronomically higher monthly dues or leaving. If you have a ******** Advantage plan that pays your dues, they like you even less. I used to give rave reviews of the facility to anyone who asked, but that was before I knew how I would be treated when I turned 65. Now that ********************** has turned their discriminatory practices toward me, I do not speak so highly of them. That's unfortunate because I genuinely like the facility and most of the staff. But I know those who set these misguided policies will get older one day to - and what goes around, comes around. Be forewarned!

I have been an on-off member for some time. I can say that the facilities are nice, and fairly modern, but there dedication to cut cost at the expense of the users convenience is astounding. From their elevators, to sign-in, to the app that everything runs through, none are user friendly because they try to automate it all at bottom dollar costs. And in the past few visits, i have been questioning the vigilance of their sanitation. I found a spider dangling from the ceiling in their 9th floor pool room, and a centipede in their bathroom. It was kind of shocking. And their corporate members are not very polite. I tried to speak with a *** with Customer Relations at their corporate office over an issue i have been having with my account, but he was somewhat rude and did not seem inclined to help me with my issue. I will be urging my friends and family to discontinue their subscriptions, as well as helping them find better, more polite and more affordable alternatives, which should not be ****** difficult.

We are a large group of friends who enjoy exercising together. We have been customers for months and this LT in Chanhassen, although it is one of the best equipped in the Twin Cities, is the one that treats customers the worst. The pool lifeguards are young, inexperienced and arrogant. On three occasions we have had an incident with them due to the way they have spoken to us or our children, even one of the managers, Ericka, was very rude when I asked her to explain the reason for her poor aptitude, she brought me a copy of the pool rules underlined rule number 13, in addition to reading it aloud in front of other clients who were also enjoying a relaxing swim, several people recommended to report Ericka's attitude to customer service, I sent two emails reporting to Ericka and never received a response. . Unfortunately my friends and family decided not to return to Chanhassen. We are now evaluating gyms from other companies.

I got food positioning at this one. I talked to manager about it and got lost in the wind. I go to this one because my brother lives over there sometimes and not impressed. Honestly the clubs that are more expensive usually treat me worse. I don't fit there mold of customer in chanhassen I guess. Savage and lakeville I've had nothing but good experiences with them and there staff. Eden Prairie and chanhassen in my option charge more and have this attitude about there club. I guess they probably eat there lunches out there with a silver spoon or something....

Lifetime Chanhassen fitness center is a beautiful facility. I want to especially highlight one personal fitness trainer that I have been working with for several months. I have been having training sessions 2-3 times a month with Karl Ostroot at the Chanhassen facility. My overall goal is increased strength, balance, and overall fitness. Karl is a GREAT trainer. He tailors my training sessions to meet my goals. No 2 sessions are ever the same- the variety is great! My training sessions are really fun yet challenging.-I know I would not be pushing myself this hard if i did not have Karl as my coach to motivate me. Karl is to be highly commended on his style of coaching. If you are considering a personal trainer, give Karl a try! I know you won't be disappointed.

The hours are too short, otherwise I'd give it a higher rating. It's a very similar layout to the Lakeville location (minus the tennis and indoor sports fields), which has longer hours and a nicer weight room.

Joined this facility yearly this year. I can't believe how much has changed since I joined. Bathrooms are not as clean anymore. There is hair and debris in the showers and floor which is gross to look at. The 3rd floor bathroom smells like urine. Signing up for classes was easy in the beginning and now there is always a waitlist or class is too full for the *** and Alpha. If your lucky enough to get into a class it's ****** booked and people are all over the place. Not feeling I am getting the value out of this membership cost and the few classes they offer. Disappointed, for the amount of money we are paying per month, I will be shopping to leave.

$23 to use the pool on top of the inflated monthly bill is egregious. Facility cleanliness is passable but notably not on par with other locations. Almost every locker smells like feet or worse. I’ve kinda looked passed everything until they made me pay $23 to use the pool for 45 mins. Staff is friendly though.

Review of outdoor pool area:Pool area is great but the family changing room is a nightmare. Pool area has Bistro, Slides, lap pool, open pool, hot tub and zero entry splash pool for kids. Bring your own life jackets as their supply is very limited

As far as the amenities go - LT has more than enough. As far as being the biggest scam (continuing to charge me $300/month for months after I cancelled membership). It’s sad that LT is the best gym out there. Their staff act arrogant as hell “like why don’t you go to another gym then?”
