After dealing with “corporate” for a simple administrative issue that they couldn’t seem to get resolved, I was finally given the name for Stony at the Chanhassen location. I drove to the location, met with an actual live employee and in a matter of a few minutes he completely fixed the issue. While there I mentioned a problem with the kiosk at the Mtka Annex location. Gave him a picture of the kiosk. In a matter of just a few days, the kiosk was repaired. A shout out to his district mgr Jon for acting quickly to the issue too.Good employees are hard to find, but Stony is an excellent employee. Knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, the perfect face for PS! Wish he was at our location instead of the kiosk.

Tom is an excellent employee. He is very polite - he greeted us and let us know he’d be right with us after helping his customer. He is very knowledgeable and immediately showed us units that took consideration of our needs. The process to sign up was very efficient and Tom answered all our questions and ensured we were good to go. Thanks!

I have unit 1215 at the Chanhassen, MN facility. I am one of the few that visit my storage locker almost every day. I own a residential contracting firm and store much of my necessary equipment and tools in a 10'x30' larger locker. I have been a "loyal" customer of Public Storage for over "10" years! I noticed the same size locker being advertised to "new" customers for 1/2 the price I am paying? When I asked for a loyalty or credit on my account to compensate for this they said there isn't anything they could do which really surprised me knowing I have been such a long time customer and have never asked for any credits over that time period. Really disappointed in the lack of customer service and understanding the long relationship I have had with them knowing that their website stated they pride themselves in customer service. I am hoping this gets back to a customer relations manager that understands how important customer service is?

We recently rented a storage space at Public Storage in Chanhassen, MN. We worked with Tom and he was very responsive and helpful, making our rental experience there 5 star +. The units we rented were climate controlled, clean and accessible. Thank you Tom and Public Storage for a smooth transition while we remodeled our home.

The indoor storage is great. If you store anything in the outdoor units get prepared for bugs to get into your storage unit and dirty up your stuff unless you put stuff down in your unit to prevent that

Public Storage… stay away!!I started renting from Public Storage in Eden Prairie in the spring of 2022. I rented two units while we waited for our house to be finished being built. The process is pretty simple, put your items in the storage units, and then you can take them out. Wrong!!!Here’s what happened. While I am in one of the 2 units we had rented arranging some items, suddenly the garage door access to my unit came crashing down behind me! Startled but OK, I had my cell phone, so I turned on the light, tried to lift the garage door, which was heavy but doable, (there is no way my wife could have lifted it!) so I found a steel rod among my items, I hoisted up the garage door and held it up with the steel rod. I grabbed a couple of items, I then pulled out the steel rod and let the garage door fall down again. That’s when my real problems began!I went to the office to file a report with Public Storage. No one was there. I left messages.. no response. I returned numerous times to the office, no one there. I filed a report online and eventually found someone at the office and filed a report there as well. They asked for my key for access so they could fix the door, and I gave it to them. This was the end of August and early September of 2022! I moved out of one of the 2 units we had rented and was trying to move out of the one that I no longer had access to! Again, this is where my real problems continued.Repeated attempts… repeated attempts…. Does everyone understand I made repeated attempts to get access to my unit all of which fell on deaf ears. Oh yes, when there happened to be someone in Eden Prairie behind the desk, they were sure to file the forms and to make the calls to “escalate” fixing their door so that I could regain access to my rented unit. They reiterated that I could not go back into my unit until the access door was repaired. Well whoever they called or wherever the forms went it was all to no avail. It went into a dark hole of Public Storage incompetency. Not for a few weeks ... Not for a couple of months. But until the end of March/April ( I have heard both!) so 7 MONTHS at minimum and still they did not fix their broken door to allow me access to the unit! But of course I had to keep paying the rent or hear their threat of auctioning my items.Never an apology, never a contact apologizing or expressing concern that I could have been severely injured! Never a contact from district management, never was I compensated for the numerous months of not having the access I was paying for, or given any reduced rent, so I continued to pay my rent while I am Trying to get somebody’s attention. Finally after May I stop my auto payments, get a rate hike and yep you got it, they say they won’t discus it unless I now pay penalties and the increased rent first!! After 11 months of ZERO contact from anyone who has any authority, Public Storage pulls out their strong arm of slapping on penalties and setting an auction date to sell my contents! Unbelievably arrogant.Remember!! Public storage ignored my numerous requests and ignored repairing their broken access door for over 7 months all the while collecting my payments and breaking their contract obligations while they were being paid!! Then they turn on me by adding penalties, fees and rate hikes all still with no correspondence from anyone who has authority to resolve the issue!Completely shameful and irresponsible! All I can say to those who want storage is to go somewhere else other than Public Storage’s machine of lack of concern.
