Allied charges almost twice as much as other trash pickup in our neighborhood and when you cancel your service to switch to another they charged nearly $300 dollars in fees to cancel. When I complained about the fees all they would say is that it is legal to charge this. Legal yes but what about ethical. Corporate greed.

My review is based on the customer service we received from Anthony Valentine. When calling in with concerns with a contract that was signed for our community, Anthony was quick to resolve our concerns and find a resolution that worked best for us the customer. Although there are many negative reviews for Republic Services, my experience with the customer service so far is excellent. Thank you Anthony for the quick and professional resolution.

worst service for business. called to cancel, still been charged for several more month, after that been told would get refund. it's more than one year now. it's rip off. We called every month, still the same. Beware.......

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. We were quoted $27 a month for our trash and recycling, and when we got billed every month they charged us $70. When I called and provided numerous estimates I received from them, and first payment stating my monthly bill would be $70, the woman on the phone decided to inform us that in the attachment fine print (that was NO where located on any of the estimates or the website when I paid) that we would incur fees. This company is deceptive and swindling people. Please use literally ANY OTHER service out there besides this horesh*t company. We are filing multiple complaints to the MN Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office. Cant wait for you to get sued from the attorneys. general office for millions of dollars just like Century Link did.

This company continually misses my yard pick up. The last time I had to call 3 times and it took them 3 weeks to pick up my yard waste. I have used them for years ans not had issues but right now I am frustrated and might switch as my neighbors don't seem to have issues with their services using other companies.

It has been a few months since Republic finished their acquisition of my previous waste management provider, Randy's Sanitation, and it has gone less than smooth recently. A couple of months ago, Republic switched my account from Randy's billing system to Republic's billing system and the bill went up $120! There was no notice or warning of either the switch in billing systems or the increase. So I called into Customer Service four times over the past 2 months to try and inform them that I had negotiated a new agreement with Randy's shortly before their acquisition and that they needed to correct their billing or give me proper notice that they would no longer honor the agreement I had with Randy's. The first 3 times I was referred to a person/department who was handling all the Randy's commercial clients but that number was disconnected and the call ended each time they transferred me there. I called for a 4th time today and was basically told that I have 60 days to get the account caught up (I continued to pay the price I agreed to with Randy's) or my service would be suspended. There was no interest on the customer service reps part in trying to figure out if they would honor my agreement with Randy's or give me notice to end their service for my business. So I will begin the search for a new waste management company as it appears that Republic has no interest in keeping me as their customer.

I highly recommend this company. I run a organization for raising toys for children and we use their dumpster services every year with great service. They are speedy with their pick ups and drop offs

BEWARE!! Republic increased our rates, so we rec'd a more competitive quote from another local refuse company. Sat on hold for over an hour to cancel our service was then told I would be charged $30 per container to remove. Next day when they closed out my account, they charged me a late fee for the upcoming services. Read the fine print closely including all the fees and charges. They will nickel and dime you to death. Many times the drivers missed our yard waste pickups and I had to report missed deliveries. Know what your getting into when you sign up with this company. I found out the hard way.

I would give a negative star if I could. I have been a customer of Republic Services for 14 years, including 6 years with Troje's which Republic bought over. On 2/22/21 I received an invoice for the months of March to May that showed an increase of over 23%. I proceeded to call for bids from other trash haulers and was able to get a rate that is less than Republic was billing me even before the increase. I cancelled my service with Republic on 2/23/21, the next day after I received the invoice, which was dated 2/20/21, and before the next quarter of service starts. A month later on 3/21, I received another invoice from Republic which they credited the service I didn't use. HOWEVER, they proceeded to charge me with $60 container remover fee, AND they only credited $4.36 out of the $22.96 Fuel/Environmental Recovery fees for the months that I have cancelled my service, AND only credited $0.69 for the $4.53 for the Sold Waste Management Tax that they charged for the quarter as well, AND a $5 late fee for the 2/20/21 invoice which I had cancelled the next day after I received it. When I called and talked to a "Corporate Escalation Team" member named Kristen, who refused to give me her last name or location, she credited me with $40.42, by removing one of the container fee. NO credit for the late fee, (how could you be late if you cancelled the service and not supposed to owe anything?). So now I'm supposed to pay $47.02 to close out my account. She told me she is the highest chain of command I can escalate my complain to. She also told me it doesn't matter if I was a long term customer or short term customer. Well, after 14 years, I think I saved them a lot of money from having to get new customers, dropping and picking up and refurbishing containers and paying my bill on time. I checked with my new hauler, they don't charge anything for picking up the containers unless I cancel within a year. I strongly warn against using Republic Services as I think the way they charge their customers when they cancel is unethical.

Terrible! Spilled all my recycling all over the ground and didn’t pick up. Left the trash and the can knocked over. No help from customer service. Poor poor service.

I wish I would of read reviews on this company prior to selecting them as garbage provider. I have read quite a few reviews of people that have had the same experience when they decided to switch to another provider. When I cancelled my service I paid for the month I used with them but not the month in advance, I received a bill telling me I owed for the month I didn't use them, I called and explained to them, I wasn't going to pay for a month I didn't use their service. I was then told about the 30 fee per container to pick up, even though I feel that is bad business I was told I would receive a bill. I was then charged 10.00 is late fees, and turned over to collection. What!!!! It was within a month timeframe. I would never do business with these people again, if they were the last ones available. Extremely bad business habits. Zero stars for them.
