The cloquet branch of this bank is horrible!! I DO NOT recommend. There are always problems with them mixing up names and accounts. To the point where I even had my card shut off while out of town and the employees were no help at all.

Had some sour experiences in the past, however things seem to have improved a bit more recently, until they got way worse.. Took my check I deposited to resolve my checking account balance so it wouldn't be cancelled, and they held the check until after the deadline lapsed.. I could have cashed it at Walmart for $20 bucks and gave them cash. Now I can't even get my direct deposit or use my debit card for anything. Time for a new bank, finally. Good riddance..

I seem to always have a negative experience at this branch (cloquet) specifically. Either the teller is super rude and not helpful or they won't listen to a concern regarding your account. Definitely do not recommend this branch for person to person contact. Only the ATM.

After reading the reviews I was nervous about trying to get ahold of someone about my loan. I made it thru automated phone service rather quickly. My question was answered fast by a very friendly person.

Worst bank ever, they would decline my card when I was in duluth because, I was "outside of my purchase area". And when I was in wisconsin i would have to submit a travel request, and then it took then 4 days to not even accept it but ask why I need a travel request. and then not to mention how they have system maintenance once a week almost, not allowing you to use your card at all, or log onto their online banking, if this isnt enough to convince you not to bank with them, idk just go somewhere else, their app is clunky, the maintence is stupid and they suck all around

I have been at this bank for 32 years. It has gone done hill all the way. You can't just log in and look at your account, IF you can log in. It says your password, doesn't exist. So you, if that's the case you start all over and put that password in. Wow, can't use the SAME password! Imagine. It didn't exist the first time. Now you've wasted 20 minutes just trying to log in. You get in and you lose the page. Now you have to start all over. And guess what, it won't accept your password!!! Try to contact them - really? All I want to do is to see if one freaking check cleared! Half hour later. Still not in!!! One more attempt and I'm giving up!

I agree horrible customer service just trying to reach a person here. The prompts will Never get you a person. Basically you have to drive to the credit union to talk to a person which is not acceptable. Not when it’s a simple question yet needs answering. Hmm

MCCU is one of the worst banks in existence. I called twice and both people that answered couldn't help me dispute charges that I did not make, and they couldn't even connect me to someone who could actually help. I had to call the same number a third time and finally connected with someone who could help. Apparently Billpay fees are NOT handled by MCCU, but instead by a separate company. I shouldn't have had to jump through all these hoops to dispute these fees when MCCU is the cause of the problem. The customer service is terrible, and you can tell that they talk to you with attitude. I am grateful that I've been using a different big bank in which I've never had problems like I've had with MCCU.

This bank has changed so much in the last few years from being personal to being big box type bank. It's sad, it used to be such a great bank and I was proud to have them by my side. Now I need to try and transfer all my business and accounts elsewhere after being here for over 10 years.

Went to the ATM to withdraw some funds. The ATM didn't work. If it was out of funds it didn't let you know. Tried to transfer funds and found out that you couldn't transfer funds after the business day ended. Later that got fixed. Nothing seems to work at this place. And some of the people you talk to are so rude.

I have always payed my car loans on time and they are saying I didn’t pay November but they just told me about it now and I never received a receipt for it. That was $360 that disappeared. And I was just in to talk to the manager and never got the chance. I am so mad

MCCU is one of the worst banks in existence. They do not care about their customers. If you have a question and they don't know they answer, they just make something up. I was given wrong information and had to drag a sick child out in the cold to remedy THEIR mistake because it was time sensitive.

I went in the Cloquet branch to open a checking account today at 4:40 pm. No other customer was in the credit union. The published closing hour is 5:30. We were told no one could help us as the customer service who help with checking close at 5. They asked us to come back tomorrow. We left. I then received a text message thanking me for opening a checking account. Obviously an automated response without even knowing an account wasn't opened. We will be taking our business across the street.told
