I wish this site had a negative rating.I called Coon Rapids vet for a quote on a procedure for my dog. They quoted me the price of $194.26.I was happy with the quote so I brought my dog in for the procedure. When I the procedure was complete, I went to pay them and they stated the bill was $835.00 !!!!Are you kidding me?!?! I told them what I was quoted and they would Not honor the quote!!I will be filing a grievance with the MN vet board and the BBB!!Do not let yourself be ripped off by these guys!!Get your quotes in writing before you agree to ANYTHING!!FURIOUS in MN

The staff of the Coon rapids pet hospital are some of the kindest people in the animal care business that I have met. They are very thorough with the care they give my pit bull and explain everything to me in terms I can understand. They treat my pit bull like the celebrity he thinks he is and has to run in the vet like a tornado to say hello to everyone. Thank you for making my dog feel special and thank you for making me feel safe.

We put our dog 13 year old Chihuahua Tank down on February 17th due to health. We didn't go in to put him down, we thought maybe there was something the vets can do to make him feel better to give us more time with him. But we got the news that no matter what we did, how much money was spent he would most likely still suffer with dementia and his health would be the same. We made a hard decision to let him go. my fiancé was all by himself when one of the front desk lady came and talked to him about cremation before I got there with my 9 year old son. My fiancé was not in the right state of mind at the time but they asked him what he wanted after putting our sweet tank down. The lady talked to him about individual cremation or group and talked about the price. My fiancé just went with the group and thought okay maybe they mean group in one fire but somehow separated. Nothing was explained to him. Not once did they say we weren't going to get his ashes back if we were to go with group. It was never explained to him!!! My fiancé stopped there and come to find out, no ashes only a $30 clay that we paid for. Why would we pay $250 for cremation and not want his ashes??? We would have been better off burying him in our yard. I talked to another front desk lady and they said they made it very clear to my fiancé about not getting his ashes back. Then why would my fiancé go up there asking for ashes??? The response I got was he signed the papers stating it and now it's our fault. Don't you think when a person is crying they would explain it more??? Word to word from the lady I talked to "they NEVER make any mistakes!" Ugh never again with this place! We only went there 3 times with tank because it was closer then our long time vet. We made a mistake using this vet clinic and hope this never happens to anyone too. Or better yet stay away and don't take the chances that it won't happen to you. No care was shown or offered because we were consider "new clients". Very unorganized!!! Our hearts is even more broken. If they expected us to know everything about cremating pets, they are not in the right field of work because not everyday the same person is going through this. This statement most likely won't get a response and if it does it will state something about the paper we signed and it was explained and more lies to cover their butts! How hard is it to say "we made a mistake of not explaining it and we apologize"!?

Dr Lindquist is amazing! They took the time needed. Helped refer my cat to another hospital with staff who could do emergency surgery on him right away. They never shamed me. We were never disrespected. I’m so happy to have found a “forever” vet. Thank you!

The staff and doctors go above and beyond when treating my two dogs. I would not take them anywhere else. They are caring compassionate and treat my animals like they treat their own. Would highly recommend, and they are not extremely expensive which helps a lot.

Very much price gouging. I have two other animals that need to be seen. Just not this place EDIT: wasnt going to do this, but clearly management doesnt care much.... ON AVERAGE Coon Rapids Pet Hospital will charged you 20$ OVER the national cost. 600$ for a spay/neuter. Go down the road 5 minutes, to a Vet with 4-3/4 star review, they will spay/neuter for 300 starting. All their prices are normalized Next time you see a fancy car, maybe you should think to yourself.. That person SAVED to buy that car. Instead of price gouging that customer. JERKS

Called for a nail trim for my dog 3/9/2021 @ 1:20pm. Was told there is a $40 tech fee plus the nail trim fee, so total about $60 for a pedicure, that use to cost $14.99.

Love this vet. They always take such good care of all of my animals. Very gentle and caring staff that want only the best for all of my pets. The entire staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome and Dr. Johnson is a pro. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves their pets.
