Mercy is an absolute zoo. If you get a room, congratulations you’re one of the lucky ones. I had a family member with a migraine come here. They stuck her on a bed in the hallway next to a SLAMMING door! Nobody noticed this until I said something about it! I had to get a payment plan for a 1600 dollar bill. Go elsewhere for service.
An additional point. They have the worst billing specialists around! We went back for a completely unrelated care item and they merged that bill with our ER bill making it difficult to pay down the balance. Called and asked if they could bill me separately and was told they couldn’t do that. It’s not an unreasonable request. Specialist handling this call was extremely rigid and didn’t seem interested in listening to my concerns.

I had a possible cardiac event and have been waiting over 6 hours so far and have not seen a doctor. They missed my initial labs which delayed the process for two hours. I have seen two other individuals come in for a possible cardiac events and leave Against Medical Advice because the wait times just kept getting extended. Shameful.

I fell and broke my femur and I did get an xray fairly quickly in the ER. However, after surgery I have had a bad experience. It's so important to my overall outcome to have physical therapy or at least get up and walk to the bathroom but I laid in bed 12 hours. I was overmedicated so one time the pt did come I was too out of it to do anything. I'm currently on my sixth day here. Only ONE actual pt session! This is horrible! Now, instead of going home, I'm stuck trying to find a rehab. One of my nurses, Michelle, was so curt and crabby that I was in tears. I treated her, like all staff, with courtesy and gratitude so Im not sure why she was rude with me. Finally I opened up to another nurse who thankfully helped get her off my rotation. What a blessing all the new nurses have been! Cindy, God bless you!! A shout out also to Leo, a Filopino RN who usually works on the kidney floor was so kind to pray with me when I asked him to, Jennifer, Brenda, wonderful care! Tshilanda was a great joy! Sweet Sadie, Kirsten, and some others I forgot to write down. A shout out to Hawi, a nurse's assistant who was always caring and smiling. Loved seeing her walk into my room. Comfort, reassurance, a simple smile, was extremely important when I was so extremely anxious and in pain. But truly, my biggest shock and area of concern is the absolute lack of pt time I've received. I'm very worried that my final outcome may be "less than it should be" because of that. Also, go back to Tylenol gel caps, which a nurse said you used to have before budget cuts. Those big white pills are very hard to swallow, even when cut in half! I have no qualms with 99.9% of the nurses and nurse's assistants, they were fantastic, but the ones who run the hospital seem to have more concern for their bottom line than patient care. I wish my review could have been a more positive one as I'm an emcourager at heart.

Had nothing but highly professional outcomes with this hospital, I highly recommend!

Completely ridiculous and utterly negligent treatment of patients beyond any acceptable or reasonable means. No assistance from nurses, and a good deal of slow and inattentive staff doing less than the bare minimum and failing to extend the basic common courtesy that would be expected of their field.
If have an immediate urgent possible life threatening condition and you're currently stuck in a slow waiting room reading this, this is your sign to go to a different hospital right away.

Terrible care for my elderly grandparent. Do not go here. Disgusting. Rude young entitled front of staff. Make sure to advocate for your loved ones. This comes from a 22 year old granddaughter. Please go elsewhere and read the other reviews as they all align with this statement.

God never tell this place you smoke they’ll treat you like a drug addict, came in 2 times to the er for a bad tooth infection declined to give me any pain management both times because I’ve smoked in my past? What the hell is this?! Also recommendation here y’all need to add a way to message an er nurse you see on MyChart just ridiculous you call and ask to leave a message and everyone there is rude as hell! Truly hate this place won’t be back.

My very elderly parent sitting in the ER for more than 24 hours now because there are no rooms upstairs. Patients are even sitting in the ER hallways because ER rooms are full and some have been waiting “for days” according to staff. Staff/doctors saying it’s been like this for a month and no use going somewhere else because it’s going on there too. Minnesota used to be a leader in health care now it’s a disaster. Thanks politicians for turning Minnesota into a third world you-know-what hole!! Staff is doing their best to provide care but they are working in impossible conditions. Do NOT go to the ER unless you are literally imminently dying-and even then call ahead!

Staff was super nice, kind and attentive. They answered call bell immediately and nurse came to help you right away. Love the nurses. Other staff like in IO and Surgery were so kind and helpful. I thought I liked another hospital but Mercy is my new favorite hospital.

I was on the Urology floor of Mercy Hospital after my kidney surgery. The nurses that took care of me (Anne, Hero & Jordan) along with a couple other nurses were very good to me. My husband was also on this floor when he had prostate surgery a couple of years ago. He also had a positive experience. Thank you to all nurses!

Some of the nurse in the emergency are so rude, no respect and means. They are not friendly. Went you ask a question. They don't care. They act big because they thing they have the tittle nurse. I personally don't recommend people to NOT go there. Go somewhere. This hospital is a NO.
