Spire reached out to learn more:1. Very low-tech. You cannot open and fund an account online. They trick you into thinking you can by collecting a funding source, but then you have to spend an hour per account in a branch watching a banker typing aimlessly.2. No banking integrations. This bank does not use Zelle, or any other method to send money to others. If you want to be able to transfer funds, you'd better have a lot of time to wait.3. Their customer service number is ineffective. The reps have no authority and provide little details.4. Bill Pay is outdated. If you initiate a bill pay, they tell you that the recipient will receive a check (only paper check mailing available, kind of like 1990) on a certain date, but that is untrue. The check is drafted and mailed on that date. They also do not withdraw funds until that date, so if you have anything pending or money moving around quickly, you may get an NSF fee and they won't send the check, so you're stuck with late fees with the recipient and an NSF charge.This bank is stuck in the 1990's with very low tech and poor service. If you have time to waste sitting in a branch, waiting on snail mail paper check transfers, and poor phone support, this is the bank for you. If you desire a bank with full service online banking, transfer options like normal banks, or other services we've come to expect from banks, go find a real bank. Spire is merging with another credit union and I hope they will improve service and technology.

Everyone was so awesome. They worked us in on a Friday at 4:45 to see about a car loan. Great people!!!!!!

I’m very dissatisfied with their service. You can’t take larger amounts of money out of your own bank account without giving them a heads up. You can’t walk in and make changes to your account without making an appointment, even though everyone is just sitting alone in their cubicles. Super frustrating! If anyone knows any other credit unions to go to, please recommend!

I chose a credit union due to poor experiences with national banks. I moved to Anoka from Hudson, WI 4 years ago. Looking for a new credit union near me, I chose Spire and I'm glad I did. I'd like to give a big "shout out" to an outstanding manager, Caitlan Nordlund, who went above and beyond to help me get the "hold" on an insurance check sooner rather than later. She listened to my "story", empathized with the situation, then actually followed through to ease my concerns. So grateful for Spire.

If I could give zero stars I would. I made an appointment for 4:15 yesterday to open a checking account for my daughter. A woman called me at 4:18 because I was a couple minutes late and said it would be fine if I got there at 4:25.I get to the bank and a Darci refused to help me stating they needed an hour despite someone just stating it was fine. Single mom trying to open an account here for her daughter. Thanks for no help!

Would never bank with a credit Union who has a paid spokes person, Kirk Cousins, who poses a danger to all he comes in contact with by not getting vaccinated. It's a shame a business like this does not put customer safety above the CEO's ego who appears with Cousins. Him being unmasked in their commercials speaks volumes.

Spire likes to hold my money. They actually tell me its not "my money" as well. Even when you jump through all their hoops in order to get ahold of MY money they will make new excuses and I am still with no money in the end. Not the first time I heard of spire doing this to other people as well so I'm sure it won't be the last.

Very poor service. They treat there members very poorly. Also there fraud department is a joke putting holds on members accounts but can't tell them why just that they have insider info. Try to talk to a manager in a branch you get half answers and pushed out the door. Save your time and bank somewhere else!!

I came to spire while I was looking for financing options on a new vehicle. Katie helped me a lot in getting me approved for a loan and even went out of her way to help me get a lower interest rate. When I came in to sign for the loan she had everything ready for me and made the process very quick and easy. I now have a nice new ride thanks to her. I like the fish tank too.
