Disappointing Experience with New Groomer at PetSmart Cottage Grove We've been loyal PetSmart customers, and our dog Haddi has been seeing Jaz T for grooming since we first got her. Unfortunately, Jaz wasn't available for our appointment today (12/22), so we decided to try a new groomer. It was a decision I regret. The new groomer, Bella B, refused to proceed with Haddi's grooming, claiming her rabies vaccination was expired. I explained that Haddi's rabies and distemper shots were done on October 18th, as noted in my phone calendar and confirmed by the rabies tag Haddi wears, which clearly shows the 10/18 date. However, Bella insisted she needed the physical document as proof. What made this situation even more frustrating is that no one mentioned the need for additional paperwork when PetSmart called two days prior to confirm the appointment. Had I been informed, I could have easily brought the receipt with me. The rabies tag is widely accepted as proof of vaccination by EMS, police, firefighters, and every other groomer we've used in the past--yet it wasn't good enough for Bella. To make matters worse, Haddi has been coming to this location since day one. The lack of consideration and understanding was incredibly frustrating, especially since I wanted her groomed and bathed before Christmas. This experience left such a bad impression that we won't be returning to this PetSmart location. I hope management addresses this issue with Bella, as her approach has cost the company a loyal customer.

Staff are always nice and the place is always well kept up with. Always love to go in and see the cats up for adoption! Please adopt some of those cute cats, they need some loving homes.

Definitely upscale pet food...I'm more of a Walmart girl, but if you've got the cash they have some great stuff! Very friendly staff. I do Shipt Shopping and sometimes go here for that gig work. It isn't the most organized store for this purpose, but it's small so not too bad to navigate quickly.

Store is great. But Grooming sucks. Eden prairie contacts vets for you to get shots. But because of this grooming salon is why I drive to Mahtomedi to get my dog groomed. My vet is closed until the 29th this month and they will not help me get my dog in. I have papers through the state and everything. At least Chuck and Dons will help get your dog in cause they actually care about your pets needs ublike here.

Staff is always friendly and helpful, and the food and supplies my cats prefer are always in stock. Rescue cats in their cubbies are very sweet and precious (adopt, don't shop)

Weird in-counter when i was told i couldn't buy 2 fish... but have went in there and bought one singular fish of the same species i asked for and got it..... just odd

Kelsey continues to be a fantastic groomer. She takes such good care of my puppy and she took care of my sister-in-laws puppy too. The cut is adorable, the service fantastic. She acts with love for animals and I can tell. My dog pooped on her table last time and she was willing to rewash him afterwards to keep him clean

One of the worst grooming experiences! The groomer was complaining the whole time we checked in and checked out which made my dog anxious. I paid extra for top of the line grooming and I believe he only got a bath and no other services and I had to ask for bandana, cookies and coupon book.I have been bringing my dog here for 2 years with no issues and this is the worst service I have received! The normal groomer (Ky) is no longer there so I had to schedule with a different groomer. I will be taking my dog somewhere else!
