So...I have been going to Pretty Nails for years, however they recently sold the business to new owners. I went in today and requested color change gel pointed fingernails. Everything was fine, the woman doing my nails was extremely nice, however she was not fluent in English so everything had to be conveyed to her via the man who seemed to be running the shop, but not the owner as he explained to someone else. I wanted my nails pointed but not literal dagger tips like their example nail, and when I told him this he was seemingly annoyed and said "but you said pointed" to which I merely replied "yes, but not as pronounced as that example nail". It was definitely a nuisance to him for whatever reason. Then, before she even started on my nails I "had the audacity" to state I'd like my nails dipped in powder before she did the gel, which Alex always suggested to me because he knows I work with my hands and then I don't have to come in for touch-ups. I know that I didn't mention the powder request as soon as i walked into the store, but, damn, I didn't know that it was such a big deal to ask for it once i actually sat down with the technician! Now- I know it's not Alex's store anymore, and I really wanted to seamlessly transition, but this man does not have the same customer service approach. He said "you did not say you wanted powder "to which I replied "well, is it ok to add", and he just repeated "you didn't say you wanted that". I said "cool, nevermind". Mind you, she didn't even start yet, and they were not busy AT ALL, and he was just straight rude.
I was going to leave a one star review, but the lady that actually did my nails seemed very lovely, and she did do a good job on my nails, despite the overall unpleasant experience.

Went here for me a pedicure for me and my girlfriend and I was treating extremely poorly. I don’t like to say it’s because of skin color but it has to be. they called the cops on me after I waited 30 minutes in their establishment to pay for my service

my friend and i were trying new nail places and we found this one! it is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. we were greated by amazing staff, super friendly! my friend had a great experience, me on the other hand… the girl shook her head the whole time, huffed & puffed when i would move or shake, and then when i confronted her about it she blamed it on not liking one of her co-workers & said she acts like a “know it all”. regardless it was about me im sure, not the co worker. also, online prices are different then in store! but never less i will never be returning!

Quality suffering since my last few visits... color wall depleted and inflated prices. I get prices going up but charging $40 for a basic pedicure that includes no scrubs, no scents, no gel polish, no designs, regular polish (limits colors), and just water in the basin I'm thinking it's a little too pricey. Found out this place was recently purchased by Red Nails down the street. The lady that did my nails today was a little aggressive with the tools and felt a little rushed even though I was the only other customer there on a Saturday afternoon .... I'll be trying out other places.

The gel manicure and pedicure here are of excellent quality! This place is fantastic. They did an outstanding job on my nails, including the subtle design.

Nails look good but had a weird experience. Nails weren't asked to be washed after all the grinding - only dusted off. Acrylic wasn't applied to all edges and was not well received when pointing out missing areas. Natural nails were cut but not filed so rough uneven edges under acrylics. Cuticles were not pushed back.

The gentleman that did my pedicure did a great job, but this is a place you're supposed to be able to go and relax, but the owner has two kids that were there, and they were screaming the whole time at the top of their lungs, which was very unprofessional, and very distracting. I've been coming here for a short time but I don't think I'll be coming back.

Absolutely STUNNING service! I couldn't have asked for a better set of acrylics <3 Alex not only listened to all my ideas but even took the extra steps to enhance the design! The nails are gorgeously thin but still feel very strong as well! Will definitely be coming back, this place just gained itself another loyal customer :)

They fixed my nails from another salon and gave me what I actually wanted. Very nice and took their time. Last photo is what my nails looked like from all about nails salon in Woodbury.

Went in to have them paint my nails with gel, no manicure, and it was so rushed despite the store being so slow and it was not very well done. It is already coming off the next day. I feel that I could have saved $30 and just done the color change at home.
