“My sweet Ginny got loose and got a really bad cut in her leg. It happened on a Sunday night and Dr. Hanson was able to fit us in on Monday in the morning for her to get surgery. After a few stitches she was good as new! We are so grateful for dr. Hanson and all that he does for our fur babies!!!”

We cannot say enough good things about Iron Range Veterinary Clinic.
We’ve seen a few different vets over the years while living in Brainerd, but after moving to Ironton we wanted something closer. What truly pushed us to try Iron Range was an emergency with our bloodhound. He was running with another dog and ran into a bush. We checked his eye ourselves and didn’t see anything wrong, but within an hour he wouldn’t open his eye. We called Iron Range because they were close and offered emergency care, and they somehow got us in ASAP. Once there, the vet found multiple chunks of a branch lodged in his eye fold. Our bloodhound is very sketchy with people he doesn’t know, but he instantly loved Dr. Fry — which says a lot.
Not long after, we switched our Bluetick Coonhounds over as well (and they can be wild). They were handled so well. One of them, Sadi, has struggled with chronic ear issues for years — cleaning multiple times a week. Other vets just kept prescribing medication to “cover” the issue, but Dr. Fry was the first to actually do an ear swab and suggest a food change. We had never been told this before. Since changing her food, flare-ups are rare and she no longer chews on her feet.
Early last year, we had a dog come to us in extremely poor condition. Due to extensive issues and the owner being unable to afford care, we ended up purchasing her. She was malnourished, barely moving, & showing neurological symptoms. Dr. Fry worked tirelessly with us for a year. Today, that dog is thriving — no longer on seizure meds, eating great, and playing like crazy (her version of normal!).
We also have a very senior Chihuahua who needed two masses removed along with dental work today. Dr. Stahl handled her care and did an amazing job — we felt completely confident leaving her in his hands.
On top of all that, last summer I returned from Texas to find my rescue donkey limping with an open wound. I explained that he’s not easy to handle. Dr. Stahl came out on an emergency farm call, treated him, provided wound care medication, and was fantastic to work with. I love how friendly, informative & straightforward he was!
We are beyond grateful for Iron Range Veterinary Clinic. They have helped our animals through countless situations — including very difficult cases — and have always been compassionate, knowledgeable, and friendly. We will forever recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.”
