Southwind Orchards is a 120 acre apple orchard, packing facility, and retail store located among the rolling bluffs of Dakota, Minnesota. Once a prized cattle farm, Southwind was bought in 1971 by the Hechter family and has has since developed into one of the largest apple producers in the state. We offer a wide selection of 30 varieties throughout the harvest season and are known for providing our customers with exceptional tasting apples. Our retail store is open to the public from Mid August through the end of October.
