“The new cabin on lake with six rooms is beautiful ❤️ my daughter and her friends stayed for church retreat. The front desk lady was very sweet and sall gift shop nice but they should carry bathing suits in adult sizes not just little kids. The food from chef Mike's they brought in for retreat was good and ever staff dida great job.Nearby activities: Gulf course restaurant open Thurs thru sun in winter other resursnt is only open on summer and the bigger got shops are only open in smer it's a very walkable friendly reort there decks and sidewalks”

“We were looking for a place to stay last minute on our way back from southern Minnesota. We were traveling as a family of 4 adults, 4 small children, and a service animal; We could not have had better customer service from Courtney. She took the time to show us different available rooms, while she was still answering multiple phone calls and accomodating other guests, with ease. Courtney was very personable and kind and interacted with our children that were quite rambunctious to say the least; She handled the situation like a pro.Michael (Mike), was another 5 star employee. He went above and beyond and could not have been more kind and understanding. We all have worked in hospitality so we fully understand how challenging it can be. The Country Inn (Deerwood) have excellent employees and we would recommend staying there to anyone. We will definitely stay there again when in the area.Thank you Micheal and Courtney!You made our trip more memorable.”

“We will be making this place our yearly cabin destination. Paul is so kind and the cabins are very nice. The boat rental prices are manageable and there’s enough to do, even on rainy days, that you don’t have to leave. The lake is beautiful with plenty of wildlife. I hesitated writing this because I don’t want to reveal this gem. Perfect for family reunions and kids! My son left his lovey and Paul mailed it the following business day. “We have been going to this resort since Rick & Babs took it over. We have enjoyed it very much. We stay in one of the cabins. The cabins sit right close to the water with stairs down to the dock. You have a beautiful view of the lake right from the cabin. Cabins are always clean and you can park car next to cabin. There is a big flat open area to park your trailer/boat. Boat ramp has just the right slope to put your boat in. Water is quite clear.We were deeply sorry to hear of the passing of one of the owners - Babs. She will be missed by all. Our hearts go out to the family.”

“We just had an Irish wake there... For those of you that don't know what that is..... After the traditional wake ..Irish families gather to celebrate with drinks .. we had a great time !!! The staff was so respectful and helpful..... The food was amazing.. the service was the best ... Stop and get your self a great sandwich.”
