The new cabin on lake with six rooms is beautiful ❤️ my daughter and her friends stayed for church retreat. The front desk lady was very sweet and sall gift shop nice but they should carry bathing suits in adult sizes not just little kids. The food from chef Mike's they brought in for retreat was good and ever staff dida great job.Nearby activities: Gulf course restaurant open Thurs thru sun in winter other resursnt is only open on summer and the bigger got shops are only open in smer it's a very walkable friendly reort there decks and sidewalks

The room experience really depends on which class of accommodations you book. The Bay Lake Villas are great. The all new Lakeside Cottages are outstanding! And, Elsie's Cottage is excellent, too. However, some of the older cabins, hotel rooms, and North Bay condos appear quite run down and are in need of significant upkeep. I have heard major upgrades to these older units are likely in the works so keep an eye out for improvements.

This was my third year attending Octoberfest. It’s a fun day. I actually left my phone on a shuttle bus and couldn’t take any pictures. I was so happy that the bus driver found my phone. Am extremely grateful and we all had a fun day. Thank youNoteworthy details: It’s nice that they have Octoberfest

We had one of the oldest cabins on the grounds, was not clean- cob webs in the corners and ceiling. Definitely not level. The breakfast was good as was the staff.

Heaven forbid, you forget anything in the room you stayed in… you will never get it back.

Nice resort on a big lake. We stayed here for a convention. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. And our room had a balcony that fit a table for two and room to walk around. The food was served buffet style and we were given a couple choices at each meal. One down side is they only had iced tea, lemonade, coffee, and orange juice for beverages. No soda or milk. The desserts were good. The food over all was average, which is a lot better than bad. The service was really good. We had staff cleaning up dirty dishes as we ate and they did a wonderful job.Over all I would recommend this resort.

We love Ruttgers Resort. The food has been great, staff is amazing and it has a nice family feel to it. We have been to many nice resorts in the area but this one is our favorite! It is very peaceful and offers a lot to do without a high end price tag for all the extras.

It was a great experience. We liked the atmosphere, which was great. Fishing on the dock and in the boat was worth it. We'll be back next year.

Lovely place on the lake, very accommodating. Just wanted to toss out a fishing line, caught a nice bass off the dock. Had a nice pedicure at the spa...ahh, the sweet, sweet smells of Aveda products.

Cabins are rustic and close to the lake - wouldn't have it any other way! Staff is great!

The bummer: I visited from Duluth where we have no outdoor pools. I chose a resort with an outdoor pool to spend my day there, and decided it was worth driving almost 2 hrs. I know things happen and there's a lake + indoor pool too, BUT if the website or social media had anything RE: outdoor pool being closed, I would have made a more informed decision.Everything else: The room was adorable and lodge-ey, and even though it's old, it's clean and that just gives more lodge vibes. People are spread out so never crowded. The walls were paper thin; you could hear just normal conversations and TV at normal volume in the room next door. Staff was friendly and helpful even when dinner got busy. Wait Staff were all champs and so friendly. Loved that kayaks were free to use. Everything advertises a family friendly atmosphere which is accurate, lots of large families and little kids, and kids have pipes for days. Live music and free bonfire was a plus.
