“If you're looking for Minnesota Rustic this is the place. The people are great, the service is great. The roads are tiny. The food is good. And it has beautiful views but this is no posh experince. But thats a good thing in my book.”
“This place gets a bad rap in this review section. It is not a homeless shelter. The hotel is owned by the tribe that operates the shooting Star casino.some employees that work for the casino stay here long-term. The upgraded me to the Sweet room with a jacuzzi whirlpool for the same rate. Brent the security officer was Manning the roller Dog grill and offered me food and a Coke. I found the room clean and the people were very friendly and accommodating. I reviewed a lot of hotels so give me a little credit when they say sketchy this is not sketchy if you want to read about sketchy hotels look at my past reviews. IE international falls Minnesota....”
“Place is great! I have a friend that stays here when in town and absolutely loves it. The rooms are a lot nicer than 90%of the other places and guy can afford to stay here. They offer breakfast in the am and quiet cozy rooms. I live in town and have stayed here because I like it that much. Front desk people are fantastic! Recommend this place to stay to anyone that wants a night away or that's traveling thru. A+”

“This is the nicest Best Western i have ever been to! Rooms are large & very nice. The front desk was amazing. They have a pool & fitness center. The back of the lodge faces Detroit Lake that offers corn hole, kayaks, and life jackets. There is also a dock for seasonal slips. In the evenings, they offer smores for the kids from 8-9pm. Free breakfast 630-930. Highly recommend this for families.”
