AVOID AT ALL COSTS, AMERIGAS WILL LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY!Been a customer for 9 years. Requested delivery 4 times this month and all 4 times got a failure to deliver notification saying the driveway wasn't cleared of snow. (It was). Never had an issue before. Good luck calling, you get a call center that promises the driver will come the next day (they don't) and will call you if they have a problem. (They won't) Takes a week and then you get another failure to deliver notification. Been out of propane for over a week.

Sat around for a week Waiting for a call to let me know when they would approximately show up to deliver the Propane. I called twice to try to find out when they would deliver. Finally the day before he came, a computed generators Voice Told me when he was coming. The person I dealt with was fantastic, To close the deal.

Great delivery staff, very responsive and competent, but be aware that the company itself sells propane at 20% above what the competition charges.

This really should be a zero! We live in northern MN and just recently switched to Amerigas and the tank we received was 30 % full. We ordered a delivery of propane and was texted by the driver they couldn't deliver because the tank was full. This was about Nov 25. It is now Dec 13th and we have been put of propane for 28 hours. We called yesterday, explained the situation and was told it would be a 24 hrs turn around. We called today and got the run around. Mostly put on hold for 30 minutes. We called the emergency line, told about the situation and we were told that they were rescheduling a driver to deliver tonight. After 2 hours of waiting with no show, I called the emergency line back, I wad told it would be delivered in the morning. Ok folks, this is December in MN with a pending blizzard coming. We explained this and the answer I got the driver was sick but they would try and find a driver to deliver tonight. No heat in Northern MN with a pending blizzard, this company has put us in a dangerous situation! I understand being short staffed buy there should be some type of protocol for this situation especially when we called yesterday 12/12/2022.

Was going to try and get a tank for my house, but I'm not going to waste my time with an automated answering service.

Zero stars actually but one has to be pick to post. Your new phone system is not user friendly. I used to be able to call and get the same female person who was efficient, to the point and pleasant to deal with. Now you have some answering service system that takes too long, to many transfers, and unpleasant speakers that need a customer service class. I will not use your company and I am sure I am not the only person you are losing business from.

We got home from Arizona on Friday, may 6th after "snow birding" since early October. Softly after we left, we had them fill the tank, as propane fireplaces are our back up in case the electricity goes out. When we got home on Friday we tried lighting the fireplace. We couldn't get it going, so my husband went out and checked the tank which was empty. On Saturday we called, and they said they would send someone out on Monday. On Monday when we never heard from anyone, we called again. The lady said she had no note that said we had a problem. We have not been here since October, and there would be no reason for it to be empty unless there was a leak. This is the second time that there has been a leak with their tank, and this is just not a Comfort issue. We need the back up for electricity. They still haven't called us back. I would give them a negative if I could.

Two years ago I went with Amerigas to fill a tank I own. They told me they would not fill unless I was home so I took the day off work to fit their schedule since they could only give me the day they would arrive and not a specific time. That afternoon I received a call saying they could not make the delivery so I needed to reschedule and the lady snapped at me telling me there was nothing she could do when I explained I had taken the day off just to be home for them. Now I am trying to refill the tank and the call system is the standard system that bounces you around from person to person, drops calls, and gets you nowhere. The call center rep told me I couldn't even go to the physical local building because it is closed and everything is handled through the call center now so you can't even go there in person to get good local customer service from them.

We have had a horrible experience with this company. I ordered a propane canister on the Friday after Thanksgiving and was told it would take 5-10 business days. When I called last Friday (2 weeks later) to find out the delivery status, I discovered that they had no delivery scheduled. The person on the phone said the canister would be delivered that day. It wasn't -- and it wasn't delivered today. I spent 48 minutes on hold today trying to find out what was going on. I finally hung up after 48 minutes. I wish I could give this company no stars! Btw -- we had to prepay -- and they took the money out of our account on the 30th! Update: My husband stayed on the line long enough on Tuesday to talk to someone; she promised delivery (for sure!) on Wednesday or Thursday. It is now Friday and the delivery has still not happened! Final comment: After hours and hours on the phone (waiting and talking) over several weeks, we finally got a tank! After all of the problems and frustrations, it is the last tank we will get from this company. We are going to try to find a company that has local representatives.

Whatever changes they are working on are extremely inconvenient. You cannot get through to anyone. I waited on the phone for an hour and 45 minutes and finally got through and it just hung up on me. Now I am currently waiting again because I need my gas filled. I was not aware that these changes were going to be made. It would have been nice to receive a notice so that I could plan ahead.

Unless you enjoy wasting a lot of time and effort and becoming totally frustrated, buy your propane from someone else. They gladly took our money but after several emails and phone calls we still haven't gotten the cylinder we ordered. Lots of broken promises. They say what you want to hear, but then don't follow through. It would be a lot better is there was a local person you could talk to. Each time I called I got a different person and they all say that they would take care of it but nobody has. My emails were totally ignored. It is terrible business practice.

Was supposed to get a fill between Oct 20-28. Never showed. Called on the 29th and heard I was on the schedule. Ran out of propane before they got to me. They didn’t even try on the 30th. On November 2 I waited on hold twice for an hour each. Told them the issue and they said someone locally would call me soon and that they apologized. No call, no propane. Waited on hold for an hour on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and am now on hold for the second time today, the 6th. They even put it down as a propane leak today so someone would show up being that that made it an emergency. Nobody showed or even called. Will definitely switch to another company. But wait... they did give me a $25 credit for my problem ?
