Rooms were dirty, sheets had stains and hair. Very limited food options. Ladybugs and roaches appeared. My peers got bit by bedbugs. Room doesn’t appear sanitary, former items found behind areas. Dead insects in areas as well. You can hear like walls are paper thin.

Prior to arrival Jessica at the front desk was amazing helping us with our reservation. Upon arrival she took the time to show us multiple rooms to find what would work best for us. We stayed in a two room suite and had a great time!
Jessica was so friendly and helpful making everything go perfectly for our family! Jessica deserves a raise and a title for her outstanding customer service!
We will definitely stay again next time are in Duluth!

Be careful if you get the jacuzzi room because when you go to turn the knob on the wall on it causes the water to shoot out everywhere... And then in my case you slip and fall :'(

The front desk lady, Angie, is the best. My fiancé and I have been trying out hotels during our monthly visits to the area in preparation for our wedding on Spirit Mountain this Summer. Angie had an answer for every random question we could come up with, gave us all sorts of useful tips, and helped us block the rooms we wanted for our wedding guests. For the price, we couldn’t ask for a better view, location, accommodations or staff.

Avoid at all costs! I stayed a night a few weeks before Christmas. A couple days later I realized I left my AirPods at the hotel. I did the “Find My” app and realized that the AirPods were a few miles away from the hotel. I called and talked to an employee and they said that would take a look for them. A few days went by and I called back to check on them. They said they could not find them so I gave the person the address where Apple said they were and miraculously they appeared the next day. They put them in the managers office and I explained I would be up there again to get them in another week or so on a Friday night. Showed up Friday night and they said they were locked in the managers office. So I said if they could get them out for when I came back theough town on Sunday. Sunday came and still locked in the office. (I live 150 miles away) I gave them my name address phone number to mail me my AirPods to me. A few days went by and I didn’t see them and I called the manager this time and he explained that he saw them but somehow they lost them and offered no resolution. So I am out $250 for my AirPods and the manager couldn’t offer any type of resolution. I figured out the address that the AirPods were at is an employee of theirs that has stolen stuff, and has had charges pressed against her for it. Stay at your own risk! Don’t leave anything behind!!!!!

Tried to send me to room that was already being used. Then the next room I get is dirty and not even fully finished yet, vent cap was missing, walls weren’t painted, holes weren’t patched and AC vent filters were dirty

Rooms: The rooms here are absolutely trash. The sheets were covered in hair, pubes, and a purple stain going through the pillow case and into the pillow. The shower was dirty, the sink had hair on it.
I showed pictures to the guy at the counter and he passed it off like it was not a big deal. He said housekeeping would be able to be there in the morning. I had to ask for new bedding and put it on the beds myself.
I do not suggest anyone goes to this place.
I will be reporting this place to the state health department. So Disgusting a d trashy.
If you look through other comments, a woman named Teresa Kreckow left a response about very similar issues, the owner responded that they will share the comments with their maintenance so no other guests have this experience. Yet here we are again.
The only resolution is that no one ever rents from here again. Highly, highly do not recommend this place. Ever!

I've stayed at maybe 200-250 hotels in my life, and this was easily the 2nd worst. Booking was easy, and the front desk was very helpful, that's where it ended. The hotel smells so bad, right when you walk in and it gets worse as you go further in. I booked the most expensive suite thinking I'd have the best luck due to mixed reviews. The room was truly nasty. Art ripped off the walls, leaving damaged drywall everywhere you look, rusty fixtures, disgusting furniture that looks like it was hodge podged from garage sales, non-working phone, literally the worst lighting and fixtures possible, leftover stains and a half box of old wine from presumably the last guests. I was awoken at 6 AM to my car alarm going off because my car was apparently being tampered with, though after running down, found no evidence. Front desk told me I could have breakfast early since it was set up, then the guy running it yelled at me. The bed, sheets, pillows, towels were all 0/5. I mentioned to some friends later where I was staying and they audibly gasped, apparently due to the poor reputation of this hotel. The location was convenient, easy to get on 35, though it's right on the top of the mountain so the fog made for extremely dangerous driving in and out in the AM. I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Accessibility note:
I called the Duluth Inn & Suites Near Spirit Mountain regarding their bed height for accessibility before reserving a room. The person answering the phone was very kind & courteous & was able to go measure a bed quickly for me.
FYI- they are 31" high.
I asked if they could remove the bed from the frame because it was too tall for me as a wheelchair user. Unfortunately, the Manager said they can't do this.
For this reason, I did not stay here & had to find a different hotel.

For a $300 room, we could at least have clean sheets. We were getting ready to get into bed and when we pulled back the covers the sheets were not clean. We saw hairs and what looked like a little bug. We then pulled back the sheets on the other bed and the same thing, the sheets looked slept on and there were hairs on the sheets. I went down to the front desk and the attendant apologized and offered to move us to another room. I just asked for clean sheets which we would change. I figured this would be the best way to have clean sheets for sure. In the morning I wanted to talk with the manager, but they were not in. I was assured they would contact me that day, they did not and have not yet. I guess they get a review instead.

Good spot away from downtown Duluth. The customer service is spot on. The rooms are not exactly 5 stars but they are adequate. I mean at least they have a microwave, the marriot I went to in chicago didn't even prove that for $500 a night. I like the location because I'm not crammed in downtown Duluth with all the tourist, a d spirit mountain is less than 10 minutes away.
Awesome hotel. Thanks for having us!

The disappointing thing was that we were there for three nights and the pool was out of commission for the whole time. The pool was one of the reasons we had booked this motel. We felt we should have at least been given a discount because of the lack of availability of the pool.

My husband and I just got married this past Friday. We decided last minute to go to Duluth for our honeymoon. We used booking.com and found the Duluth inn and suites. We don’t like staying downtown so this location was ideal, pictures and reviews looked decent. Everything was downhill from there. We let them know this was our honeymoon and asked if there were any add on packages and there weren’t, which is completely fine I wasn’t expecting one. This is just to say we did let them know that it was our honeymoon and the GM did respond to that message. We checked in around 5pm on Tuesday after dinner. We got to our room and it was not the king spa i had booked. We went to the front desk and were told there’s nothing they can do tonight and booking.com sent our stuff over wrong and we can talk to the GM between 7am-3pm the next day. Again, frustrating but not the end of the world. Then we try our TV, it’s broken. So we ask the front desk and they move us over a room. Again the TV in the new room won’t turn on. Instead of getting a third room on our first night we decide to fix it ourselves and spent 30+ minutes trying to move the dresser and turns out our box wasn’t even plugged in. We went to bed frustrated and over it. Woke up the next morning at 7am and were in the lobby at 7:30 to speak to the manager, who we were now being told wouldn’t be in until 8am. There was a nice girl at the front desk though who told us our room would be ready later in the day and we’d get a call so we ate breakfast and we’re on our way to sight see. Around 2pm we get a call so we head back to the hotel yet again and move rooms into the king spa with a jacuzzi tub. We’re exhausted so we move our stuff again and then go to our new room to take a nap. My husband comes over to me and shows me the floor transition near the tub is broken and sticking up so I wouldn’t trip or injure myself. We also find out at this point they have a whole crew redoing a bunch of stuff in the hotel. They’re also working in the room next to us so I didn’t get that nap with all the banging and stomping and voices and music around the hotel. I wish we’d have been told that was happening prior as well because nothing is less relaxing than that. Our bathroom also seemed only partially cleaned and there were hairs on our toilet seat which just made the room seem not clean. We left again because I was getting extremely agitated even being at the hotel. We came back after dinner and decided we’d hang out in the jacuzzi and watch a movie. We run the bath and when we look, the on off switch for the jets is completely missing from the tub but at this point we didn’t even bother to alert staff because we were tired of moving rooms and spending more time at the front desk than anywhere else especially because the manager was never anywhere to be found. On our final night we debated just leaving but decided to just get some sleep and head out early so we could finally end this honeymoon from hell since we had already paid for the room already. We woke up early because again we had been told the GM would be there at 7 and again we were told he’d be there at 8 instead. We weren’t interested in waiting on them again. So we asked for our receipt and left. Then we get our receipt and that we’ll hear from the manager because on night one we were told we’d at least get a refund for the first night. Our receipt shows we paid $432.50 after tax, booking.com showed we’d pay $466.20 and my husbands bank statement is showing $482.60 and we weren’t supposed to even be charged until we got there and it was taken out Monday when we booked despite selecting the option to charge us when we got there. The charge came from the hotel not booking.com so we were frustrated with that as well. Overall, I wish we’d have spent the money at another hotel. I spend a lot of time in Duluth for work (usually 4-5 times a year) and a lot of the time I’m at 2-3 star hotels and have never had an experience like this. If you’re looking to book this hotel for ANY other reason than to sleep, book somewhere else.

Not a good hotel. Pool water wasn’t that warm. Hot tub closed. Our bath tub didn’t have a latch to take a bath so I asked the front desk. They said they’d check and get back to me. Never heard back…The room overall feels very dirty.
