Manager just toldMe to shut up and threatened to report the car stolen when I was telling her they over charged me 2 grand and I had the reservation for 8pm instead of 730am, same day too. She told me to shut up numerous times and was insistent on calling the cops on me. Don’t worry I’m just trying to make it back from the dells with my kids freaking out. This is the third rental I’ve done with budget in the last 16 months- can’t believe the manger talked to me that way. She kept going on too- told me if I didn’t shut up she would add random charges to the car. “If you don’t shut up, I’m going to tack on more fees, if you don’t have it back by 5pm it’ll be reported stolen.” She charged me an extra day too- so wouldn’t I have paid for a full day then. Crazy power of a manger to still charge me and report it stolen. And charge extra fees

I rented an SUV for 3 weeks. Due to the extended time period, I chose to waive the daily insurance offered by Budget. During my final week with the SUV, a rock hit and cracked my windshield. I contacted the agent I had when picking up the vehicle to explain and inquire what to do next. Linda R. was super helpful in completely explaining what needed to be done, and to not worry now and enjoy the rest of my trip. Upon return of the vehicle, Linda and her manager, Ann, were so very professional and caring about my situation. Thanks to their suggestions, I was able to get reimbursed for the windshield I paid out of pocket to replace. I am very impressed with the professionalism and service rendered at this Budget location. I will never EVER choose a different rental company in Duluth. Budget has my business every single time I need a rental in Duluth......

I rented a vehicle at the Memphis Airport for 3 days, April 2-5, 2023. After receiving my e-receipt via email I noticed some extra gas charges, so I called and was told I would get a $60 refund. But instead of refunding my account, Avis CHARGED me: $3,408.90 and when I called to discuss their mistake was told to email my original e-receipt because the only one they had on record was the incorrect $3,408.90. When I tried to escalate this to a supervisor, the customer service rep. kept me on hold for over15 minutes, so I hung up. The reason I signed up for Avis and became a preferred member was because of their customer service. Today, that service is long gone, and they are not at the top of the list. I would look at renting from Hertz - as they are much more professional and have outstanding customer service.

RUN!!!The attitude they have is ridiculous. Horrible customer service. They don’t try to please their customers at all. Management and employees will tag team.Do not rent from them. It’s a “local business” and not the corporate business therefore, they have their own systems.Beware, they will threaten to charge your credit card for unauthorized amounts.

Was lucky with nice car, but main reason for the review is the very nice lady Anna (sorry if misspelled). She helped me to get my jacket I forgot on the rear seat and realized it at the gate. She ran to the car, found my jacket and brought it to TSA guys, while I was at the other side. Thank you so much again!

Well, I guess I'm an outlier with these guys, because my experience with them was good!! The only thing that prevents me from giving them a 5 star review is that the car they rented me was bigger than I'd asked for, so I may have spent a tiny bit more on gas. But the service was friendly and helpful last summer when I was moving to Duluth and picking places. When there was a problem with my AARP # the counter agent still found a way to get me the senior discount, directions to the place the car was parked (a little confusing to get there) was clear, and no hassles with paperwork or extra charges. So, a positive experience for me.

The worst experience I’ve ever had renting a car. Like many of the other reviewers here, this franchised location tried to charge my CC $1,100 for a chipped windshield while I was still in possession of the vehicle. Upon further inspection of the paperwork find out that they did the vehicle inspection over 24 hours before the rental was picked up.. still tried to compromise and find a solution that worked for both parties however the GM was only interested in charging my card unwarranted charged that later were returned and arguing. Which my physical card was never used in the location… Extremely rude and abrasive management with a Can’t do attitude. If you are in a position where you have to rent a car from this location and it’s your only option I would highly suggest walking or taking a horse and carriage instead.

Rented from the cities and had a slow leak we noticed in a front tire when we got to the north shore. We had to exchange the car per Budgets policy. Linda at the Duluth location was amazing and so helpful. They had no cars when we called. Linda called me back as soon as they got a car in and the car was ready for pick up the same day. I went from feeling super anxious to feeling taken care of. Linda was wonderful, and I will be sending her chocolate ?

WARNING - THESE GUYS WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. Charged me $250 extra "cleaning" fee. Told then I was lucky it wasn't $450 - I guess they just arbitrarily decide how much to steal. STAY AWAY!!

I was not treated right at all. The car I rented for a week had a Malfunction. I called to let them know what was going on with the car and the representative was sooooo rude and disrespectful, She hung the phone up on me and wouldn't answer after I tried calling back several times. Finally a tow truck picked the car yp and left me and my 2 kids on the side of the road for 4 hrs. And during that time, I suffered a miscarriage. Upon finally arriving back to Duluth Mn. Where I rented the car. The same Lady was rude and was not trying to listen to what I had to say. I stood there and cried, thinking to myself, I didn't do anything wrong! I should have known something was going to happen with this lady because of the way she treated me when I came to get the car. I just brushed it off, My mind was focusing on getting to my brother's funeral in Chicago! The manager lied and told me, she was given me 50% off the car and that was not true. Nobody should ever be treated like I was treated. Im still im disbelief!!! I rent cars all the time and was never treated so bad.. ?

Do not rent from this location! We had an extremely poor experience with this location. The person that checked us in refused to walk around the car when we picked it up and also when we returned it. Two days after we returned it the called and indicated we damaged the car. The small dent they claim we incurred was there when we picked up the car. They sent us to collection after refusing after refusing to talk to us. The lady who contacted us is from a vendor they contract to handle their dirty work. The lady we were stuck with was rude and refused to provide documentation nor talk to the Avis location. Horrible experience. We will never rent from Avis again.
