“Community Action Duluth in Minnesota is truly incredible to work with. Their team is so friendly and compassionate, always ready to help those in need. They offer a wide range of programs that make a real difference in people's lives. Words can't fully express how grateful I am for their support. I promise to pay it forward.”
“The gift shop is an incredible local place to get white california sage, sweet grass, cedar, local grown sage, indigenous art made locally, wild rice, MMIW merchandise, jewelry made by local indigenous people and many more items. Their prices are very fair and staff are very informative. Stop in to just view the art and soak up the good vibes if you desire. Please sign in at the front desk at your right when you come in.
This organization runs Dabinoo'Igan. A domestic violence shelter that helps local people with a safe place when they are experiencing domestic violence. They also have events open to the public where they have different teachers to speak on native American traditions and culture. All together they are an incredible organization that offers so many resources to the community.”
“All seems ok nice and clean ,I have not enjoyed a meal there in a few years ,the real gem for me used to be daily at 2pm a truck full of diff breads and danish and pies would show up,I'm not certain they have that any more.overall very nice outfit to have in the neighborhood”
“The experience was great from the beginning to the end.
The morning of I decided to catch the train to the start of the Marathon event where I had a chance to chat with many other runners before arriving at the start line. Plenty of seats were available during the 20 min trip, in which you were able to see fellow runners starting the half marathon event. The start line was filled with many runners as they started the event in waves. The course was filled with rolling hills, and some portions were downhill, but the entire course was manageable. During the event, spectators and race volunteers lined the course cheering athletes on and provided various hydration and snacks to help athletes compete to course. There was a large crowd at the finish giving motivation during more than the last half mile of the event, and the finishing medal was unique. I did not stick around for the post race because I was exhausted, and it began to rain, and it took 30 minutes for me to get my drop bag.”
“I love “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People. Mad props. In fact, the local YMCA is the only place in town where I’ve felt welcome to screen my Criterion-style films—complete with faux-grain—which roughly one hundred people watched in a single month in our local junction. The staff, mostly buff men, are delightfully hospitable, routinely inviting others to events, which genuinely means a lot for the atmosphere and cringe starry nights 🌙.
Chapter II Beyond In (Which Grace finds her man):
Then, there is the weight room. It is a humid, stationary swamp. The overhead fans remain stubbornly motionless, save for two situated at a height accessible only to giants. I dropped a note in the suggestion box to alert the men, but nothing changed. I hope to find a more suitable time then find airport travelers ✈
Chapter *THE END*
Swimming, yoga, and stationary cycling at the Duluth Area YMCA were my daily rituals. However, I canceled my subscription after just two weeks. I found myself cycling every single day in a depression loop like Nico, desperately waiting for something of interest to happen… I didn’t find love apparently but self restored review.”
“I was a student here in 2011 and a staff in 2020. Northwoods and other PRTF save lives! Google me! I play pro football now and was on path to end up in jail when I went here at age 12. Please contact me if you doubt me, I’m easy to find!
The thing with PRTF is that your kid has to participate in their programming. If they don’t then this isn’t the place to be forcing you, it’s not a fully locked down facility like that. Then, you have some families who don’t care in the horn so that doesn’t help either when the kid leaves doesn’t have support then everyone blames the PRTF but there’s a reason we all got sent their in the first place so reading these former youth complain when they’re fresh out shouldn’t impact you. I’m a grown adult 10+ years after successfully discharging from Northwoods living my independent life, married and happy and it is all because of Northwoods.”
“@ QKIt's a shame that some folks hide behind a screen using false acquisitions. I'm a Witherspoon. Elijah Witherspoon and I'm proud to be an OUTSTANDING member of the Duluth Community! My Mother, sister Salaam and brother Stephen have made a very positive impact here in the city of Duluth and will continue to do so for many years to come! I beg to differ on your statement regarding my family having a "horrible" reputation. And yes, some of us are less than perfect. Can I ask you a question ghost? Are you perfect? He / She or whatever your pronoun is, if you are without sin, by all means cast the first stone!Only because you had mentioned it and I wanted to clear the air, there was no insurance money collected by any Witherspoon because a Witherspoon didn't own it. We were just employees.Last, Carl is my friend, I've known him for many years. He's made a lot of sacrifices to become the great leader he is today. So, in conclusionGhost writer, please remove this post. It's full of inaccurate information and besides, how would you feel if someone wrote false info about your family? You'd feel just like I do right now...God Bless”
“Great place for youth who need it. Just don't try to volunteer. They only want donations. Been trying to get a volunteer position for months with great references and passed a background check.”
“Absolutely perfect and wonderful in every way. Experienced and kind volunteers, excellent communication, lovely animals. Every question I had was answered, and you can tell they really have the animal’s best interest at heart.
I am overjoyed with my experience adopting a dog from them.”
