“Beautiful and inspiring art can be found here! I was impressed with the gallery when I first visited this past winter. Now I have shopped online for a gift during these difficult times and encourage anyone who can to do the same.”

“Woah, there's alot to be found in here.If you need any material, pots, plants, seeds..or anything else plant related, Gordy's will certainly have it. The plants all seemed very healthy and well taken care of as of my visit. There's also a very cool rare plant section!”

“I can’t stress how pleasant of an experience it was to shop with these folks! Stressing about getting the perfect perfect souvenir for my wife before my flight home, I was disappointed that every gift shop I entered, seem to be the same merchandise from shop to shop. Not the case with Northwoods at all! I was able to find a gift that seemed to fit perfectly, I reached out to my youngest daughter to get her feedback and she was impressed as well. If your gift shopping in Duluth, this is where you should go first.”

“Brilliant specimens of both common and unique, rare gems, crystals, minerals, tektites etc.Offerings of spiritual tools and fragrant incense, candles and oils. The vibe or mood is serene and welcoming, very friendly and chill staff. If you’re lucky you’ll meet an adorable black doggo who physically manifests to say hi.Home decor, gifts and jewelry are a great find here. High quality merchandise.”

“I'm compelled to write this after seeing these 2 totally wrong reviews. We have visited Duluth for over 20 years now and have ALWAYS stopped in to see "Sandra" at Minnesota Gifts by Sandra Dee. That store has been there for over 3 decades for a reason! She's got it ALL there because she knows from experience what tourists/travelers need or forget when they leave home (especially when that lake drums up crazy unexpected weather) and what they might want to bring back with them! One time the rain came out of nowhere and we ran into the Dewitt-Seitz bldg., MN Gifts had rain ponchos (score), another time my wife forgot her jacket in the hotel room and that northern wind was blowing fierce, MN Gifts had awesome heavy sweatshirts for the whole family (still wear mine), my son got some gorgeous Lake Superior agates and cool MN stickers for his iPad/water bottle once, forgot sunscreen for the boat ride--you guessed it--MN Gifts had it, oh and lost my Ray-Bans one time and got a cheapo pair from MN Gifts (stylish and they lasted FOREVER). Best part though was the epic hand-painted antique saw blade we purchased one year for my dad to hang in the family cabin! "Sandra's" daughter is a local wildlife artist, and I can't even begin to tell you how incredible her work is! One could visit that shop just for the chance to snag a piece of MN beauty that'll last a lifetime (if they're not sold out already). My point is this is a unique "mom and pop" shop owned by locals, not some run of the mill chain, it's family-owned and MN Nice through and through. I think David S. in his post was jilted, and hey maybe "Sandra" was having a hard day, we ALL have bad days, but don't let that stop you from visiting her shop...we've been going there FOR DECADES and it's like visiting long lost friends. AND BTW my wife is disabled from an accident and uses arm crutches at times, we were never turned away for her being "disabled", but MN Gifts is a narrow shop and with all the treasures in there, there is not sufficient room for a wheelchair to maneuver around safely. That was likely the case for reviewer Barb S.”
