Quiet style and beauty. A mansion that gives the impression of coziness and comfort. My favorite room was the breakfast room with stained glass windows and green Rockwell tile looking out on Lake Superior.

Old house, filled with old stuff. I think it's neat.

This is a gorgeous home built in the arts and crafts style, with a lot of detailed carved wood panels, intricate stained glass, and beautifully appointed furnishings. I paid for the whole house tour…the 3rd floor “boys’ floor” was totally worth the extra money. Save time to wander the gorgeous grounds.

Attended one of their free Wednesday outdoor concerts on the grounds. The show was staged in the back patio/gardens area overlooking Lake Superior, a totally beautiful setting. On top of the music they had food trucks, beverages and merchandise available. If you have the chance to catch one of these shows don't hesitate in attending.

Not just a cool house but a cool Home. Definitely get the full tour. If you are going to go it's worth it to see the third floor and the Attic

A marvelous representation of privilege and obscene, generational wealth for selfish use. Glad it's shared with the world. The vaseline glass is pretty cool to view, Tiffani Glass subway tiles in the garage... the wrought iron gates need attention, a percentage of the daily ticket could be used to repair walkways & sink holes. Stage is odd for concerts, band is open & exposed in the back as much as front. Beautiful beach. There is some sad use of land facing earth's greatest lake by making a private graveyard? while keeping out the original resident nations, but fascinating, none the less.

Highly recommend downloading the app and getting the audio tour. None of the younger staff will tell you about it but all the adult staff will and it made a huge difference

All of the staff extremely helpful and informative.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped. We loved sitting on the dock enjoying the views of Duluth!

During Summer here the Mansion puts on a concerts series by the water. The boats, big & small cluster around & enjoy the sunsets, music, crouds of ppl on the shore, swimmers, food trucks & even Frisbee on the lawn & unless you buy food, the whole thing is "free" being community based outdoor event.
