The Lake Superior Railroad Museum offers a charming and educational experience for visitors of all ages. The museum features a wide collection of trains, including engines, cars, and a snow plow engine, with many opportunities to go inside and explore. Visitors can walk through and climb into various train cars, gaining insight into the history and inner workings of trains from the early 1900s. The museum is well-maintained, with beautiful restoration work and detailed displays, including photographs and miniatures. There are also videos, demonstrations, and interactive games that make learning fun, especially for children. While some parts of the trains may be difficult to access for larger visitors, overall, the experience is engaging and memorable. A highlight is the train ride, which offers a different way to enjoy Duluth’s scenery, especially from the dome car, which is highly recommended. Friendly staff provide knowledgeable assistance, making the visit even more enjoyable. Despite ongoing construction, the museum remains a wonderful place to explore train history and enjoy a hands-on experience, with many visitors planning to return.
The lights should have been dimmed some to see outside better for pictures

It was a really cool place to visit. We got to see lots of different trains and explore the inside of many train cars. There were some things under construction but still pretty cool. We would go back. Next time, we plan on doing a train ride to see Duluth in a different way.
