Went to return a pair of boots, and the manager was a very rude. Hounding with questions like i was on trial.My ankles were rubbed raw from the boots I purchased, and I even rolled my socks over twice. I will never purchase a pair of boots from that store again.

Owner/manager is very rude and strange. Ordered a pair of boots online because we called the Duluth store and they didn’t carry them (of course! They don’t carry any of the styles/colors we want). We asked if they fit the same as another boot and were told yes. Ordered them online and they were too big. Went to return in store (as the website suggested we do). The owner was INSTANTLY put out by this request which was weird. And has the audacity to rudely ask why we ordered them online instead of getting them in store. We told him they were not available in store. In which he made a strange comment about how we aren’t supporting his “small business.” (Which is really just a franchise of a large business). He then went on about how it costs him money to take our exchange, now he’s stuck with them and has to pay full price, how Red Wing should have never allowed online ordering (like what..?), etc. It was so uncomfortable, we told him two different times we will gladly just process the store online. We’ve spend hundreds of dollars over the years. Well, now, guess who will NOT be supporting your small business. It’s not the customers fault that you potentially lose money on an exchange - bring that up with the company!! EVERY other store allows AND promotes in store exchanges/returns as it’s easier to ship back. It was so uncomfortable, we didn’t even dare ask for our military discount or I am sure that would have been accompanied by a slew of complains as well. Right behind him was a sign about essential being a good person/offering good service. Maybe that should be revisited.

Absolutely fantastic customer service experience. Cutting edge tech equipment to measure footprint and gait, very knowledgable guy helped to find the right model of work boot, size and insole incredibly quickly. Perfect fit, good price. 10/10.

I bought a pair of work boots at the Duluth Red Wing Show Store. Stephen is an expert at listenintg to what a person needs and wants in a boot, and at clearly explaining the features of various boots, and at fitting. He does al of this with patience and no pressure. I bought a pair of boots, completely sure that they were the right ones for me . Thanks Stephen!

Customer service is spot on, and they have a digital pad that you stand on that tells them your exact size and what parts of your feet you use when you stand and walk.

Great selection of women’s boots! The guys working there really know their boots, they were able to give me a great recommendation on the fit of boot perfect for my work and I got my second pair of Irish setters for more casual wear. I was surprised to see how many women’s work boots they had. I felt welcomed and the guys working were easy to talk to! Highly recommend!!
