They screwed up my tax return royally (about a 10k difference on my actual income, misspelled name, the list goes on), forgot to get me important information by the legally required date, and now I'm being penalized for it and it's heavily affecting me. DO NOT go with this company!!!! BE WARNED

I went in with my mom and we were going to ask some questions about our taxes. The lady upfront was extremely rude and wouldn’t even speak to us with Common courtesy or let us talk to our tax person(Eddie). We have been doing our taxes there for 10+ years. I have also always praised them and told everyone I know how great they were.

Today we went in to sign for my taxes and the front counter lady was a different person and was delightful and kind hearted person. But I asked Eddie a question and she bit my head off very unprofessionally. Needless to say I will not be coming back. $260 dollars and Eddie wouldn’t give me 5 minutes to ask questions or look over my tax paperwork.

Unfortunately, EXTREMELY disappointed!! Will Not Be Back:( The staff are always friendly. We have been going here for 5 years and the last two years have been nothing but lack of communication. Last year it had to do with waiting, waiting, waiting (many weeks) for our tax prep to get done - I call to find out where my taxes are and was told we should have been called to let us know we had to file an extension, no call was ever made to us. I was very upset, the tax preparer did them right away and took a little bit off the tax prep fee so we went back again this year. This year we were able to be seen in person - upon leaving, we were told we had a:
Refund from Wi of 430.00
Owed Fed:108.00
Owed MN:609.00
Washout - we owe 287.00
That being said, we signed for the money to be taken out of our back account. We were told the taxes are always checked by a second person and if there were ANY changes at all, we'd get a phone call. YOU GUESSED IT - NO CALL!!!!! I had just happened to look at my bank account a week later to see withdrawls being made out of my account of
Fed: 2,999.00
WI: 3.00
MN:792.00
A 3,794 total in withdrawls vrs the expected washout of the above 287.00.
3,507.00 MORE then expected upon leaving the office.
THAT is a HUGE difference to say the least!! Obviously not being prepared for that kind of money to be withdrawn at that time, it wiped out my bank accounts and put us into overdraft!!!!
I told the tax preparer (who felt horrible) I wanted my prep payment returned - it was back in my account within 15 mins. This wasn't all on the tax preparer - we are humen and make mistakes. The issue was the SECOND person who caught the mistake who didn't feel it neccesary to let us know of the HUGE change in our filings BEFORE filing our taxes!! I said to our tax preparer " Im not sure if Deni would like to do anything to make this right, but......" Not one peep from Deni - ONE PHONE CALL could have made all of this an OK (still unacceptable mistake) situation - just file a week later , but unfortunately not the case.

Stay away!I went to Serenity this year around early March to get my taxes done and they said it would be no problem to get it done. A couple days before the deadline they email me and say an extension has to be filed. They pulled a bait and switch! It took them another two months to get my return finished. When I received my return there were several mistakes made. For example, they put a totally wrong birthdate for my wife and said on my 1040 that I traded crypto currency when I didn’t. When I called Dani she said none. of it was a big deal and they spend most of their time making sure the numbers are correct. What a joke! I wouldn’t be surprised if I get audited next year.Fast forward to a couple of days ago. One of Dani’s employees, Eddie sent me a email with another couples taxes attached. Now I have these people’s ssn, birthdates etc.If you want someone who is detail oriented and won’t give you sensitive information away I suggest you go somewhere else.

I have worked with Deni and the Serenity team since 2011, even after moving to Texas in 2014, I continue to value our relationship! I am always blown away at their attention detail, their quick response time, and how well they keep me organized! We use them for personal taxes, business taxes, bookkeeping, and payroll. I feel treated as though I'm their only client, yet I know they have very many!

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst experience to date. We had our taxes prepared by John, only to be served with a letter from the state of Wisconsin stating that we owed more money. When we brought this to John's attention, he said he'd take care of it. Never did. there were many unanswered and unreturned calls, and 2 face to faces. He ended up saying the state changed their percentages-mid tax season- resulting in us needing to pay in even more. When I contacted the state, they said nothing to this effect, instead stating it was solely the tax preparer's error. He refuses to take responsibility. We will continue to try and resolve this, including getting our fees refunded from this business. In the mean time there will be no good reviews from this customer.

We have trusted Deni and the staff for over 20 years,, We in fact have lived in a different state for 16 and still have her do them.. There is such a level of trust and professionalism.. They are unmatched and will always have our business ! We Love Serenity !!
