This will be the only place I buy a vehicle from! We looked at many other dealerships and after inspecting the cars, I found something wrong with everyone I looked at.
Went to Up North, Sam asked what we were looking for and price range. Brought us a bunch of keys for different vehicles and said “check them out, take your time, and let me know if you want to check out any others”.
We left with 2 vehicles that day! Great vehicles, affordable, and reliable! Sam will make sure you leave with a vehicle you love with a cost you can afford! I now refer everyone I know to him!
He is the most honest salesman I know, and he truly cares about getting you a good car. If you have issues after purchasing it, call him first! He will help make it right.
Highly recommend Up North!! ❤️

Negotiable, realistic, nice team. Don't expect a brand new vehicle with no issues and you'll walk away happy.
Thanks Sam!

Nice body on the car, everything else has sucked. The car had misaligned headlights so night driving wasn't possible. We didn't know that until trying to drive at night for the first time and had to drive at 5 miles an hour. We had no help getting that fixed through the shop but had promised about this. For a car low miles that was not cheap, we've easily spent double that on repairs and the car still makes weird noises that apparently can't be fixed. I would not buy another car from here even though the salesman was nice

Bought a red 2008 Mazda 3 where I was told, from the owner, that it was a “great commuter car”. Right away it started having issues as soon as I drove off of the lot. Sam then tried to say that it was a very simple issue so I was persuaded to keep it. Turns out it’s a pretty big transmission problem. I’ve broken down twice in just over a month and the temporary plates are about to expire where I haven’t received the official plates. This dude sells busted cars. Just a heads up

About 2 weeks ago we purchased a 2006 Toyota Sienna van with about 140k miles. So far this has been a gem of a vehicle! The owners gave us every chance to try out and inspect this van which we did. Then we negotiated a good deal that we left and felt very well taken care of. We are from the iron range area and we called first and Sam was very polite and said it would be well worth the drive! It was well worth the drive! Thank you Up North Auto!

Single issue with the title at first, eventually Samuel smoothed everything out and what can I say, this van has been problem free for over a year now! Lots of different options and ranges of quality. Take your time, and choose a car that you are confident is in above average shape, it may or may not be there the time you first visit!
I was lucky that this 2008 Sienna was in 8.8/10 overall shape, and after performing a Carfax, I found out that it had recently had an entirely new transmission installed from a specialist out of state.
After contacting them, I learned that it had been taken great care of, and that the remanufactured replacement was of the highest quality.
It mostly makes the barely noticeable hum of a new transmission when I drive, and I rarely notice the gears shifting.

Only bought the vehicle
Yesterday that's why only 4 stars. No pressure sale had all the freedom to look around on my own. The car we choose was clean and drove very nice.
We've had the car now for 5 months, I bought it for my granddaughter, It's been a very good car for her. Had a little hiccup with title but Samuel and I got it worked out and everything's good.

I went to this dealership for a car posted on facebook. A 2009 blue Saturn. (do not buy this car) Test drove it with my stepdad and didn’t seem to have any major issues. A few days later another family member of mine went to purchase the vehicle. When they test drove it the transmission was making a loud whining sound and wouldn’t shift past 3rd gear. I had spoke on the phone with owner who said mechanics had looked at it and it was all good. My family member met a different employee than I did and said they were very blunt and all they said was “Ok bye” when my family member mentioned what was happening. The lady who I met was very nice but I would not trust this dealership when buying a car. The company and employees are not local and do not seem to know about cars.

My sisters and i went looking for a car since Up North Auto came highly recommended to us by family. Sam was so friendly and we did a couple test drives before settling on a vehicle we liked. He gave us a really nice warranty and also discount. Sam told us to come back if we have any issues and he would be more than willing to work with us. Thanks again Sam!

Not only was there no pressure to buy, Samuel allowed us to bring the car to our mechanic. Everything was great!
Not sure about what other people are saying on here, but I love the exceptional customer service. My daughter is happy too! This is the 2nd car for one of my children. Thank you!

This guy DOES NO INITIAL INSPECTION and will absolutely sell you a death trap.
Sold a car to my kid for $4000, come to find out the next day that most of the rust damage was hidden by an undercoat, and all of the control arms were rotten, 2 bad axle shafts, rotten subframe mounts, and more.
Nearly $5000 in immediate repairs needed.
This guy REFUSED to work with us.
This guy is ok with putting you and your kids in danger.
Don't do it.
##UPDATE - He simply lies about the content of this review, and then uses religion as a weapon as though invoking god somehow absolves him from wrong doing. You can see examples of this throughout the other reviews.
Every phone call to resolve the issue resulted in a lot of gaslighting, and tentative verbiage about what he believes his responsibility is in selling a death trap.
I will say, after a very aggressive series of conversations, he agreed to pay for a limited inspection from a garage of his choice, they pointed out the control arm, caliper, and axle… then offered to have his mechanic friend (not a certified garage) work on it for an ambiguous amount of labor (a rate of $0-$300 per hour) and we had to provide our own parts.
He took advantage of my kid and put her in danger.

Owners were incredibly communicative, kind, and honest. They made the process of buying a used car for the first time very easy and not as scary as I thought it would be. They even wrote a warranty for us to ease our mind.
