Spent 8 grand on a car from here and transmition went out out on it less then a year later. When I messaged them they referred me to a transmition shop, I would only assume they are friends with. They don't stand on their products or back their customers. Would not recommend buying from them. Unless you don't mind buying something they could care less about.....good luck. Read other reviews and find out how shady they really are.

HORRIBLE people with horrible cars. I bought a car from them, but shortly before I bought it, I was provided the VIN number and discovered it was a clean title. Discovered 1-1/2 years later that it went to auction with structural damage. It was involved in three accidents.Samuel completely hid that from us. The hood and the front passenger doors were replaced and repainted. Not only that, but there was engine noise which they kept brushing off by stating it was normal. They also mistreat their vehicles. The picture I included was an image of one of the car seats, which they put zero effort into cleaning up.Lost $5,000 on the vehicle after selling it. Only got 4,000 miles out of it. All of their cars are bought from scrapyards.SCAMMERS!

Most definitely recommend coming here if you're in the market for a used and great priced vehicle. Samuel was very informative and helpful the entire process. His vehicles are great priced for being used and they are all clean, up to date on mechanics, and even includes a free 60 day warranty on the engine. He was social and friendly to not only us but to our kids as well which made it feel even more welcoming to the business.

Drove two and a half hours to look at a vehicle which wasn't there. Was told it was damaged during a test drive and sent to repair facility hours away.????. Test drove a couple vehicles that was there. Trash. Shoddy body work with many mechanical problems.

Have been here twice. First time went to look at a Ford escape and they said nothing was wrong with it. Go to test drive it and there's no gas in it, all the dash lights were on and never turned off after starting, radio didn't turn on, no heat or AC, was lied to and left immediately. Went back a year later to look at a Ford focus zx5, again no fuel in it and barely started. Got it started then immediately heard a loud ticking noise, engine mounts were shot, was an exhaust leak and was missing all the hubcaps. After they said nothing was wrong with it and was driven from the cities. Lady in the office had no clue what she was doing or talking about and neither did the lot employee. Don't ever go here, stay far far away. They need to be shut down ASAP

All the cars here have lot rot and have been sitting there for almost a year... Even with repair on these vehicles they only last less then a year due to how much damage they have... Wouldn't recommend a purchase from this establishment it's very unprofessional and are a good bit racist.. the whole building is falling apart too.. anyone else is much better off going elsewhere for a vehicle!

Don’t buy from here. Sold us a lemon. Spark plug shot out of the engine a day after purchasing a 2009 Ford Focus with lower miles. Mechanic said it’s something they absolutely would have known about. Lied to us and told us the car had all checks and maintenance done on it.

Asking wayyyyy too much for junk cars old cars rusty ran down cars I don’t care about the low mileage you all seem to care about I want a car that has a good body. Be more reasonable with your prices.

Up North Auto in Hermantown, MN sold us a $16k truck (priced for "full retail in excellent condition") that we soon discovered has a non-repairable rusted out frame (large holes) and won't do anything to make it right. Their website says, “Offering the most affordable, quality car/SUV options in the Northland!” and “At Up North Auto, we only offer safe, reliable vehicles that have been inspected and, ‘green lighted.’ We value honesty and integrity, and strive to create an enjoyable car buying experience for every customer!” When asked about the inspection process they said (by chat) the mechanic puts it on a hoist and inspects the vehicles before they are sold. We were foolish enough to believe what they said on their website was true. And there is no way you can put this truck on a frame hoist without seeing the frame damage. We feel like we got robbed thousands of dollars. Either it wasn't inspected or they just let it get sold to some unsuspecting customer that way. There were some other problems too like the broken engine bracket, improperly mounted alternator that shredded the serpentine belt, the broken power steering pump, the broken suspension link, the defective brake light switch, the clogged oil pressure screen and defective oil pressure sending unit that we had to fix ourselves. They said the belt problem wasn’t covered under the 30 day engine warranty and they offered to look at the oil pressure problem but it would have cost us $350 to have it towed there. How did all these problems pass the mechanics inspection?Again, the big problem is the frame rust hole damage that we didn't see until we took the tire off. They won't take the truck back, they won't refund any portion, they won't trade for another vehicle and if you bother them they block you from their Facebook chat. The only solution they suggested was we could take them to court. If we can find proof they knowingly bought and sold a vehicle with a rust damaged frame we will. A lawyer said it would be hard to get justice for what appears to be false advertising on their website: “we only offer safe, reliable vehicles that have been inspected and green lighted” because what they say is considered "Puffery."We will try contacting the Better Business Bureau and will spread the word about our experience. We won't buy anything from Up North Auto in Hermantown MN again and hope other buyers will get someone else to inspect before they buy.

Said they're open till 5... Called and was told they're closing at 4 and that leaves us 30min to look at a car and buy... Jus seems very unprofessional when we live an hour away and I'm not about to spend my money there.

I made a long review on their Facebook page, talking about how I bought a car with 66k miles on it and that the valvetrain was damaged and it suffered from noisy lifter tick. They said my review is untrue, but showed no proof against it. They kept insisting that it was fine and that they weren't going to comply with the engine warranty that they signed with me. I went to three mechanics and received written invoices, stating that there is internal engine failure and it can go out at any point. They won't let me return the vehicle within the month that I owned it, yet they will buy absolutely any car at any auction. I spent $7,200 on this vehicle and I found a car online with the same issue going for $1,750. I'm suing this dealer in conciliation court to get my money back, which is painstakingly slow.Stay away from this place!
